The bank expects the sector to benefit from expanding enterprise AI adoption while leaving room for upward earnings revisions at several companies. 
NEC  is Morgan Stanley&#39;s top conviction idea, with an Overweight rating and a ¥5,000 price target. The bank believes the company&#39;s current guidance is conservative relative to its medium-term growth plan, with IT services, social infrastructure, and the integration of CSG Systems expected to support earnings growth if supply chain and geopolitical risks remain contained. 
Fujitsu  also received an Overweight rating and a ¥4,000 target. Morgan Stanley expects continued margin expansion driven by AI-assisted software development and sees long-term upside from the company&#39;s ambitions in sovereign AI.

Fujitsu is talking about AI-assisted software development and gradual margin improvement. SMCI is building the actual AI factories powering the AI revolution with liquid cooling, rack-scale systems, and close partnerships across the AI ecosystem.

SMCI generates significantly more revenue than Fujitsu’s server business, is growing much faster, and is leveraged directly to hyperscaler and enterprise AI capex. If AI infrastructure spending keeps accelerating, SMCI has far greater operating leverage.

Morgan Stanley can like Fujitsu, and that’s fine. I’ll stick with the company supplying the picks and shovels for the global AI buildout. That’s why I’m long SMCI, and I’ve been long since well before the 10:1 split.

@Big_Timer all valid and factual points and I am also long SMCI but consider the changing dynamics for a moment…. Now Corsair which was once just in memory and then pc hardware accessories then a full scale systems integrators and and then preconfigured PCs, workstations, gaming systems and laptops and now an AI servers manufacturer as a new entrant in the industry …. 

SMCI may not be in most of these areas but it doesn’t mean they couldn’t be and wouldn’t consider it … at the very minimum they (SMCI) will probably be contracted by Corsair in the future on specific systems using proprietary cooling tech owned by SMCI …

Until then anyone is a competitor … from Dell to HPE to HPQ to Asus to IBM to Corsair to Foxconn to any other name like yes Fujitsu , Lenovo and so on.. 

And Charles @smci knows this very well and I’m certain he and his team have something planned to “catch up” if you will on the Ai agents infrastructure build out currently in play … Nvidias new cpu line up is probably going to be released via Supermicro systems products in the area between high end workstations and blade / rack mount servers … because the form factor is going to be very small to start … like mini PCs 

Also memory densities and overall memory technology is going to improve on a power efficiency and latency basis, so I imagine again someone like SMCI is going to play a key role in facilitating the correct and compatible form factor without reducing cooling and thermal performance 

Now if SMCI does nothing and remains stagnant through all of what’s coming … including space data technology, then I would say a leadership shakeup at SMCI would be warranted otherwise a shareholder lawsuit may happen as I don’t think most major shareholders would be patient enough to continue waiting …. I’m just speculating at this point even though the current ai infrastructure build out is enough TAM for SMCI to grow into in the near future … but still markets are forward looking and trade on future expectations and much less the current days actual reality 🤷‍♂️

The AI infrastructure buildout isn’t a winner-take-all market. The TAM is exploding so fast that multiple vendors can grow simultaneously. New entrants like Corsair validate demand—they don’t automatically displace the company that’s already shipping AI servers at scale.

SMCI still has major advantages: rapid design cycles, deep NVIDIA and AMD relationships, proven liquid-cooling technology, and years of experience building custom AI infrastructure. That’s not something a newcomer replicates overnight.

Competition is healthy, but execution is what matters. If SMCI continues expanding its direct liquid cooling portfolio and captures the next wave of AI deployments, today’s valuation will look incredibly cheap in hindsight.

The bears keep acting like the AI boom is ending. I think we’re still in the early innings.
