But honestly I really think this is a political show that Trump really wanted to push his own plan, so sinking these insurance with a proposed 0.09% gives him leverage to negotiate.  
 
UNH, CVS, CI are all for-profit companies, there&#39;s no way they will put the patients first, if GOP continues to tighten their funding on MA, Medicaid, D-SNP, we will see a collapse of much more medical insurance companies in the next 5 years for it no longer become profitable, not just UNH.  
 
If the final rate is anything bigger than 3%, I think it is safe to assume UNH wouldn&#39;t proceed with dropping as much members as they announced. At the end of the day, companies want profit and if they have enough profit, no one will get dropped. Sad, but that&#39;s capitalism. 
 
Also we have shady groups like AHIP, BMA and BCBS are lobbying intensively at the moment, so maybe there will be better MA news both the company and its patients.
