$VTGN the fact that pal 1 was horsehit, they stopped pal 2, told themselves we need to look at what we are fucking up on,  educated their team on protocols and pal 2 was successful— means SOMETHING.
We have the drug performing similarly in both trials, and a HUGE placebo response in pal 1. Placebo response was mitigated in pal 2. I would think it had to do with the team locking down on protocols.

@BioBum When Pal2 was paused, you recall they did a futility analysis that was encouraging. However, they did not ever spin up Pal2 again, so there were no alterations to Pal2 after Pal1 read out. Pal2 was conducted later than Pal1 and in a better environment, however, I think the main difference was likely that they had a different CRO for Pal2. Something Singh has never mentioned, probably for legal reasons. You can&#39;t publicly shit on the first CRO and effectively accuse them of malpractice. I won&#39;t go into it here, but there was some drama with the first CRO. So there was no &quot;locking down on protocols&quot; for Pal2, but there was a different CRO and a more conducive trial environment. At least, that is the thesis. We&#39;ll see how well they do when they are practically doing their own CRO for Pal3 and Pal4. The large number of sites is going to stretch them.
