The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.

TLDR: ALL shorts must close positions. Shorts Shorted More!!!! Assets estimated to be worth over $30 per. Many think $60 per or more. Potential long term and short term returns. Squeeze is imminent. Not if, but Wen? ALL SHORTS HAVE TO CLOSE!!!! 
 
Let's start by asking the main question. How many shorts are still open? This is not an easy thing to answer.

The info below comes from Market Wire News. The Short Volume of TRCH going into the merger. On June 17 and 18th there was an estimated over 176 million short shares still open. Volume both days was less than 25 million total.https://marketwirenews.com/stock/trch/short/ 
 
On June 21st, TRCH hit an all-time high of $11+. Volume jumped 550% to 82.5 million and only about 20% of the estimated short shares were returned. Even so, it was 32 of the 82.5 million shares traded that day. over 41%. This is where it gets interesting though. 
 
The next day, according to Market Wire, the estimated short shares still open fell from over 142 mil, to 68.5 mil. That&#39;s a difference of about 73.6 mil shares. Volume that day was only 42.2 mil!!! And on top of that, the price fell $3.

$MMTLP I&#39;d like to highlight this piece of the DD. Before the merger on the 17th and 18th, there were 176 million open short positions!!! The following 5 days to the merger, that number dropped to 26 million short positions on only a 177 million volume total. That means that 80% of the trades made, should have been shorts covering, while the price dropped from $11 to just under $5. Meanwhile FTDs rose 19,000%. Let that sink in....

Now I don&#39;t want to get too into the ethics behind naked shorting, but despite popular belief, naked shorting actually helps the market fluidity. It&#39;s what allows brokers and MM to trade our shares, even though we have a T2 settlement window. They are naked shorting the stock for us to facilitate the trade. 
 
What often happens though, is a share gets shorted over and over again, making many copies of the same share. Folks that don&#39;t return those shares get an FTD, Failure to Deliver, and the share becomes naked, essentially, until it can be made right by the broker. Some have been known to kick the can for really long times though. 
 
From June 22nd to the 25th, FTDs started going through the roof. Normally, TRCH saw thousands, maybe a couple hundred thousand FTDs, but on the 22nd it jumped 19k+% to over 8.5 mil. Daily short volume is all we have to go on from Sept 30th. Full disclosure, daily short volume is a bad indicator, but still tells a story when coupled with Finra short reports. This is the OTC Short Report for daily naked short volume. 

As you can see on the bottom, September 29th and 30th, from Finra reporting, show the % of short volume is only 23 and 30%. So, since the news about the S1A2 submission came out on the 5th, seeing the rise in volume and % of shares shorted corelate to each other, makes sense. As we hit our peak volume and share price days, on the 11th and 12th last week, we saw a higher % of shares shorted, right? It appears they were shorting more, not returning shares. 
 
This is where the shorts and hedges fought back. Paid pump and dumper Alpha Stocks released a video telling folks to take profits. Then, Elephant Analytics published a hit piece on Seeking Alpha about MMTLP and MMAT. Basically, trying to say it was a pump and dump scheme to get Meta&#39;s price up higher, so they won&#39;t be delisted. This coincided with a major share dump, according to Iborrowdesk.com. This is the number of shares left to short. As you can see, they almost all disappear that day.

You all got tricked by the shorts into doubting what was starting to play out before your very eyes. I know, we are in a bear market and you've lost a lot of money chasing squeezes over and over, only to have the rug pulled out from you each time. You're skeptical and pessimistic. Makes complete sense. 
 
Look at this. While you folks were thinking this was a pump and dump, the shorts were not only shorting more, but they weren't returning the shares that were due. They ended up putting MMTLP on the OTC Reg Sho List!!!! 

For those that don&#39;t know, making it onto the Reg Sho list means that for 5 straight trading days, they have not been settling their FTDs or returning borrowed shares. If it&#39;s over 10K shares a day or .05% of the overall shares available, they get put under Rule 4320 where all shorted shares need to be accounted for before shorting. The only way off the list is to start making good on their borrowed shares for 5 straight trading days. For those that don't know, making it onto the Reg Sho list means that for 5 straight trading days, they have not been settling their FTDs or returning borrowed shares. If it's over 10K shares a day or .05% of the overall shares available, they get put under Rule 4320 where all shorted shares need to be accounted for before shorting. The only way off the list is to start making good on their borrowed shares for 5 straight trading days. This is a big indicator of naked short selling into excess.

Lining both DD up it would seem the very folks shorting all the meme stocks into oblivion are the very folks trapped in MMTLP!  
 
It would be a damned shame on the shorts for the likes of the meme stonks holders - GME, AMC, BBBY etc... to get wind of this...could bring their whole worlds crumbling down?
