Palantir reported $1.657 billion in pre-tax profit in 2025 and paid $0 in U.S. federal income tax.

The company's effective global tax rate came in at 1.4%. That's according to a new analysis by CICTAR and the European Federation of Public Services Unions, which looked at how Palantir's tax structure compares to its revenue from government contracts — contracts funded by American taxpayers.

Sounds just like "capitalism", Palantir made $1.657 billion in pre-tax accounting profit in 2025 & recorded $22.7 million in income-tax expense, equivalent to an effective global income-tax rate of about 1.4%.

Now the average pass-through business pays ~20.5% which is 1364% higher then PLTR & about the same for C corporation statutory federal rate which is @ 21%. "Capitalism" aka corporate welfare "subsidies" & you're left with making up the difference each & every time

The result for stuff like PLTR & their 1.4% tax rate is very simply this:

The financial squeeze on American consumers is real right now.

The personal savings rate fell in August to 4.1% --> the lowest in 4 YEARS.

Frankly, the savings rate is at one of the lowest levels in 2 decades if you exclude the "revenge spending" era when people were big spending after the pandemic (& stimulus checks).

Some economists argue the low savings rate is due to Baby Boomers retiring and no longer saving. But there's been a clear trend down this year. It's hard to write that off...
