found the ABC News piece interesting because it shows lithium demand might be more resilient than people think. Even with some policy shifts in the U.S., global electrification is already moving. EV production, battery storage projects, and even growing energy needs from tech and data centres are still happening. That doesn’t stop overnight because of one country’s political changes. The article mentioned that Pilbara Minerals restarted part of its operations after securing a deal with Canmax. I’m not reading too much into it but it does suggest there’s still enough demand out there for producers to bring supply back online. It just shows this market might be shifting from hype to something more grounded. Lithium prices can be volatile, but the broader demand drivers seem bigger than short-term policy headlines.
