StarkNet is a permissionless decentralized Layer 2 (L2) validity rollup, built to allow Ethereum to scale via cryptographic protocols called STARKs, without compromising Ethereum’s core principles of decentralization, transparency, inclusivity and security. The StarkNet Token is needed to operate the ecosystem, maintain and secure it, decide on its values and strategic goals, and direct its evolution. This token will be required for (i) governance, (ii) payment of transaction fees on StarkNet, and (iii) participation in StarkNet’s consensus mechanism.

Starknet

STRKs sharp rally and increased volume have revived attention, with traders linking the move to Starknets privacy and Bitcoin DeFi developments and its STARK-based post-quantum security narrative. Sentiment is largely bullish, though some traders remain cautious about token unlocks, dilution and whether the momentum will hold.

Litecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency designed to enable instant, near-zero cost payments to individuals and merchants worldwide. As an open-source global payment network that functions independently of central banks or intermediaries, its main value proposition lies in providing a scarce digital asset with a fixed maximum supply of 84 million tokens. The network operates using a Proof of Work mechanism where computers solve complex puzzles to confirm transactions and secure the blockchain. It is distinguished by a block generation time of 2.5 minutes, which allows for faster transaction confirmations and a higher total throughput than earlier protocols. Key technical features include the Scrypt hashing algorithm, which promotes wider network participation, and MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, which improve user privacy by allowing transaction details to be hidden. The LTC token is used for settling global payments, executing microtransactions through smaller units called litoshis, and diversifying digital portfolios with a highly liquid asset. New tokens are issued to miners as rewards for verifying blocks, though these rewards undergo a halving event approximately every four years to strictly control inflation. This process ensures the ledger maintains immutability, meaning records cannot be changed once they are saved to the global network. Created by former Google engineer Charlie Lee, the project is supported by the Litecoin Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to ecosystem adoption. Unlike many venture-backed projects, it is maintained by a decentralized community of independent developers and a global network of miners. The project has seen recent institutional adoption, with entities like Lite Strategy and Luxxfolio Holdings adding significant amounts of LTC to their corporate treasuries as of late 2025.

Litecoin

Litecoins sharp breakout and relative strength versus other major cryptocurrencies are driving attention, with traders pointing to possible institutional buying and ETF inflows while also discussing upcoming LitVM development and the next halving. TRON is a decentralized blockchain-based operating system designed to accelerate the decentralization of the internet and its underlying infrastructure. It serves as a global settlement layer for stablecoins and everyday digital purchases, providing a high-throughput environment to support large-scale decentralized applications. The network is governed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), which allows the community to manage the protocol without a central authority. Its primary value proposition includes a unique resource model that utilizes bandwidth and energy to allow for high transaction volumes without traditional fee spikes. The platform functions as a smart contract platform that enables the creation of decentralized applications and is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing developers to easily migrate applications. TRON operates using a Delegated Proof of Stake consensus mechanism where token holders vote for 27 Super Representatives to verify transactions and maintain the ledger. This structure is built for scalability and fast finality, aiming to handle more transactions per second than many established legacy blockchains. Users can interact with the ecosystem for various purposes, including decentralized finance (DeFi) through platforms like JustLend DAO and decentralized storage via the BitTorrent File System. Value moves through the system via its native utility token, TRX, which facilitates transactions and grants users access to network resources. Holders can lock their TRX in a staking mechanism to gain TRON Power, which is used to vote on network rules and elect Super Representatives, earning rewards for securing the network. Established by the TRON Foundation and led by founder Justin Sun, the project has transitioned into a community-led DAO. The ecosystem is supported by strategic partnerships with major global entities, including Samsung, which integrated TRON into its blockchain keystore, as well as BitTorrent, Opera, and Swisscom Blockchain.
