Stocktwits Editorial Policy
Editorial Mission and Standards
Since its founding in 2008, Stocktwits’ mission has been to power the global conversation for investors & traders of all levels in order to connect, learn, profit, and have fun. As the largest social network for investors and traders, we continue to reimagine financial media, tools, and services for the next generation of investors and traders. To better serve this audience, we launched our newsroom in June 2024, providing actionable coverage of the market’s most active stocks. As a news publisher, we utilize our first-party data to enhance our editorial coverage and provide a real-time pulse of the retail investing community that no other platform can match. Just as markets have evolved over the last two decades, Stocktwits has also evolved into a broader media brand focused on serving the globe’s most active investors and traders.
Our editorial team strives to deliver balanced and accurate reporting, relying on reputable sources to provide actionable insights into the market’s most active stocks. Our rigorous hiring process ensures that our staff have a minimum of several years of market reporting experience and are matched to a beat that plays to their strengths and interests. Additionally, our shift editors provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to uphold the strong editorial practices our organization has set from the top down. We are a new and growing venture operating in a dynamic industry, so we are constantly learning and refining our approach to achieving our mission. As such, this standards page and our other policy pages may be updated from time to time.
