META looks like the monkey-and-cap story: the market sees a shiny new AI/OpenClaw-style capability, assumes Meta has discovered the next killer monetization engine, and bids the stock up. Then reality arrives. Meta may have integrated similar technology into its Muse/AI ecosystem, but having the technology is not the same as monetizing it. The market may be pricing in a lead over OpenAI and Anthropic before there is evidence of durable revenue. The hard question is monetization. Free-app downloads ≠ recurring revenue. Meta can't convert AI engagement into sustainable economics like Goggles. And the competitive pressure isn't going away: • $AMZN — e-commerce/commerce AI competition • $AAPL — privacy constraints and ecosystem control • $GOOGL — frontier-model competition Meta could still generate money from AI infrastructure spending, including benefiting from AMD's MI450 ramp My view: META can revisit the prior high if the market keeps rewarding the AI narrative.

We have yet to fully reckon with the subtle toll artificial intelligence will take on our time and attention. As AI agents proliferate, they will constantly interrupt us with inquiries, suggestions, and alerts that demand a response. We already know how thoroughly social media captures our focus—how easily hours vanish into the algorithmic pull of Reels, TikTok, and YouTube. Now, our digital drain includes second-guessing whether what we see is real or synthetic, trading endless arguments with strangers online, and chasing dopamine hits through electronic validation. Pandora’s box is open. The challenge now is harnessing the technology’s immense benefits while containing its worst impulses and bad actors..
