Stripe and private equity firm Advent International just submitted a joint takeover offer for PayPal ($PYPL) at $60.50 per share, valuing the company at more than $53 billion - a roughly 28% premium to Tuesday's close. thank you to the companies offering to purchase PayPal. They have raised investor attention to look into this stock. It’s interesting to consider that first of all the company really has no reason to sell to another company. It generates great free crash flow it has enough cash on hand to be debt free. The current price offers a good value to the existing stockholders and the cash it generates can easily continue to be used to re-purchase shares. With these things in mind a price well north of $100/ share may get the Board of Directors attention but certainly this $ 60 is not going to get the buyout done.
