Electronics manufacturing company ASM Technologies Limited on Friday (September 12) said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guidance, Government of Tamil Nadu, to invest ₹250 crore in the state to expand its design-led manufacturing capabilities in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.

Under the agreement, ASM Technologies will acquire 5 acres of land from the Tamil Nadu government to set up a state-of-the-art design facility. The move is aimed at strengthening ASM’s presence in Tamil Nadu’s growing technology manufacturing ecosystem and is expected to provide strategic advantages and long-term benefits to the company.

The investment will support ASM’s expansion in precision engineering and ESDM-related manufacturing, augmenting its design capabilities and product offerings. ASM Technologies currently operates two advanced manufacturing facilities at Dabaspet in Karnataka and Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, which serve as centres of excellence for clients across various industry verticals.

Rabindra Srikantan, Managing Director of ASM Technologies, said, "With this ₹250 crore investment, we are expanding our design-led manufacturing capabilities in the ESDM sector, strengthening our expertise in precision engineering for electronics, solar industries and semi.
