Hamas handed over the first set of living Israeli hostages to the Red Cross on Monday, Oct 13 as per a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas to stop the war in Gaza.
Hamas handed over seven hostages to the Red Cross, reported Israeli media outlet Haaretz.
They would soon be handed over to the Israeli Defence Forces and their family members.
US President Donald Trump is heading to Israel ahead of the expected release and will address Israel’s parliament and meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the families of the hostages. Later on Monday, leaders from more than 20 countries will join Trump in Egypt for a summit on Gaza’s future.
