On the relationship with insurers, Ankit Thakker, Executive Director and CEO of Jupiter Life Line Hospitals, said, “I firmly believe… in the long term, insurance and the healthcare providers are partners.”
Jupiter Life Line Hospitals, a multi-speciality chain operating in Thane, Pune, and Indore, is seeing steady growth in occupancy and is advancing plans for new hospital projects, according to Ankit Thakker, Executive Director and CEO.
On hospital performance, Thakker highlighted occupancy growth in Pune and Indore. He said Pune hospitals are at “mid 60%” occupancy and could rise to around 70%, while Indore has seen occupancy above 65% after adding 100 beds. He added that tertiary and quaternary procedures in Indore are expected to increase, which should boost average revenue per occupied bed (ARPOB) in the coming years.
The chain offers services including organ transplantation, oncology, cardiology, orthopaedics, and neurology, with advanced technologies like robotic neuro-rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care.
On the relationship with insurers, Thakker said, “I firmly believe… in the long term, insurance and the healthcare providers are partners.” He noted that higher health insurance penetration increases both demand and affordability for quality healthcare, while broader access to high-quality treatments raises the perceived need for insurance among patients.
