The firm said the estimates were revised to more accurately reflect its recently&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/cryptocurrency/citi-no-longer-sees-bitcoin-price-hitting-record-high-this-year/cZ3E7xLRIXX">lowered outlook</a> for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in the coming 12 months.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GEMI">GEMI’s stock</a> fell as much as 5% in pre-market trade after its price target was cut to $5.50, down from $13, by Citi. However, most of these sales did not occur because Bitcoin’s price fell, but because these companies were seeking liquidity to fund their pivot to AI.Core Scientific (CORZ) also&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/core-scientific-plans-to-sell-more-btc-first-quarter/cZdeLGXRIP7">announced</a> this week that it plans to potentially sell all of its Bitcoin holdings in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026. The company said sales would help finance a large build‑out of AI and high‑performance computing (HPC) data centers in 2026.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/CORZ">CORZ’s stock</a> edged 0.32% higher in overnight trade on Wednesday after a jump of 3.53% in the regular session as crypto stocks&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/cryptocurrency/winklevoss-led-gemi-stock-sees-biggest-gain-since-debut-on-bitcoin-pump/cZdQKgURIdo">rallied</a> alongside Bitcoin.Meanwhile, Bitdeer Technologies&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-sale-is-not-a-concern-no-plans-to-stop-crypto-mining-says-bitdeer/cZRtkAQR4Uv">announced</a> last month that it had liquidated all of its Bitcoin holdings to fund land acquisition opportunities. In a post on X, the company said that its decision to sell Bitcoin “should not be a concern for the broader market” and added that it plans to keep mining the apex cryptocurrency.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTDR">BTDR’s stock</a> edged 0.38% higher in overnight trade after a jump of 4.63% in the regular session.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Miners Liquidate Holdings&nbsp;</h2>MARA Holdings, the second-largest holder of Bitcoin after Strategy, didn’t say it needs funds for its AI pivot but did&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/mara-sell-bitcoin-amid-one-billion-net-loss/cZdeZAuRIPZ">revise</a> its treasury strategy earlier this week to include the possibility of selling at least a part of its almost $4 billion BTC reserve. It said BNY will also be serving as administrator and cash custodian, while Coinbase will be the co-custodian, according to a form S-1 filed&nbsp;with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.&nbsp;The Trust is an exchange-traded fund and will be structured as a passive investment vehicle that does not seek to generate returns beyond tracking the price of bitcoin, rather than using derivatives or leverage, the company said.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Price</h2>Bitcoin price on Wednesday rallied 7.3% to $73,042, sending crypto-linked stocks like Coinbase&nbsp;and Riot Platforms&nbsp;higher up. The company generated $647.4 million in revenue for the full-year, up from $376.7 million in 2024, driven primarily by stronger Bitcoin mining revenue. Mining revenue rose from $321 million to $576.3 million, and the number of Bitcoins produced increased from 4,828 to 5,686.
