Ondas Inc. (ONDS) announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary, Airobotics, has secured a $20 million initial purchase order under a multi-year framework to build an autonomous border protection system.
The program, formally announced after Ondas was named prime contractor in December, aims to create a strong AI-driven security network using thousands of drones, advanced command-and-control software, and integrated ground infrastructure.
The system will deploy fleets of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and tactical-response drones capable of autonomous operation across complex border environments.

To expand its ISR capabilities, Ondas announced on Monday a $10 million investment and partnership with World View Enterprises. Through the collaboration, the two parties will evaluate merging the long-endurance, high-altitude intelligence platform with Ondas’ unmanned aircraft systems.
“We are initiating a rapid capability buildout that combines advanced drone platforms, automated airbases, and centralized command-and-control into a unified operational system.”
-Oshri Lugassy, Co-CEO, Ondas Autonomous Systems
Ondas stock traded over 4% higher on Wednesday’s premarket. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock remained in ‘bullish’ territory amid ‘high’ message volume levels.
Ondas’ border protection solution leverages AI-powered autonomy, enabling multiple drones to coordinate, detect, and classify hostile activities, and execute mitigation strategies.

The program aligns with Ondas’ broader ambition to provide scalable autonomous defense grids that integrate ISR capabilities, active threat response, and mission-critical software. This initial $20 million order is the first phase of a multi-year plan, with subsequent development milestones, deployments, and follow-on contracts anticipated.
Ondas develops advanced autonomous systems and private wireless technology through its units Ondas Autonomous Systems (OAS), Ondas Capital, and Ondas Networks.
ONDS stock has gained over 4% year-to-date.
