Multi-speciality paediatric hospital chain Rainbow Children’s Medicare Limited (RCML), on Wednesday, announced the opening of a new 100-bed greenfield hospital in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. This is the company’s third hospital in the state, following existing facilities in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.

With this addition, RCML’s total bed capacity in India has increased from approximately 2,185 to around 2,285 beds. The new hospital is strategically located between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and is set to serve the healthcare needs of the East and West Godavari districts.

These regions, with a combined addressable population of nearly 10-12 million, are supported by steady economic activity from agriculture, aqua, and allied sectors, along with growing urbanisation.

This launch follows recent expansions in Warangal and Guwahati and marks RCML’s third hospital addition in the current financial year. With these developments, the company’s network now spans 22 hospitals and five clinics across nine cities, with a total capacity of about 2,300 beds.
