Samsung eyes double-digit growth in festive season, sees stronger momentum in Bharat markets Published Sep 12, 2025 | 10:13 AM GMT-04 Samsung India is eyeing double-digit growth in smartphone sales this festive season, backed by new launches and strong consumer sentiment.
The company believes that demand from tier-three and tier-four towns, or Bharat markets, will play a significant role in driving consumption, supported by higher savings and a more self-reliant economy.
According to Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President and India Head of Samsung Mobile, the premium smartphone segment is already seeing strong traction, and the company expects this trend to accelerate during the festive period. “There is a steady run-up to the season, which is a very positive sign. Consumer sentiment is up, and with our new launches, we expect to be ahead of the industry,” he said in an exclusive interview to CNBC-TV18.
India has nearly 700 million Gen Z and Millennial consumers, who are fast adopting new technology. Pullan noted that despite GST-related announcements, demand for smartphones has remained stable, reflecting steady consumer inclination towards technology adoption.
Samsung’s broader strategy continues to rest on making its products accessible, affordable, and aspirational under its “Galaxy for Everyone” philosophy. While volumes may remain muted in certain segments, the company is confident that premiumisation and festive upgrades will help it capture higher value growth.
