Suryoday Small Finance Bank receives ₹314 crore claim under CGFMU Scheme

Suryoday Small Finance Bank Limited on Tuesday (September 30) said it has received ₹313.89 crore from the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC) under the Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU) Scheme.

The amount corresponds to the first interim claim raised by the bank in relation to Base Year 2023–24. The claim, raised earlier, was fully settled on September 30, 2025. The bank clarified that the claim received under the CGFMU Scheme is in the ordinary course of business.

First Quarter Results

Suryoday Small Finance Bank said its net profit declined 49.7% year-on-year to ₹35.2 crore for the first quarter ended June 2025, down from ₹70 crore in Q1FY25.

Net interest income (NII), which is the difference between the interest income a bank earns from its lending activities and the interest it pays to depositors, fell 2.1%, coming at ₹355.8 crore against ₹363.2 crore a year ago.

Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) stood at 8.46% in the June quarter against 7.16% in the March quarter. Net NPA came at 5.64% against 0.4.58% quarter-on-quarter.

Shares of Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd ended at ₹134.75, up by ₹1.10, or 0.82%, on the BSE.
