Tesla has opened voting for its annual shareholder meeting, set for November 6, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Only investors who held Tesla stock as of September 15 are eligible to vote.

Elon Musk has urged participation, calling the outcome "critical" for both the company and the world. Tesla, too, described itself to be at a "critical inflection point" and asked investors to back the board’s recommendations on all proposals.

Among key proposals are an amendment to Musk’s 2019 Equity Incentive Plan, which would set aside nearly 208 million shares and replenish reserves with an additional 60 million shares, and a new 2025 CEO Performance Award that ties Musk’s pay to ambitious market capitalisation and operational targets.

The company said the plan could generate more than $7 trillion in shareholder value. Shareholders will also decide on re-electing directors Ira Ehrenpreis, Joe Gebbia, and Kathleen Wilson-Thompson.

For international shareholders, including those in India, voting depends on whether brokers provide proxy access. Some overseas brokers do not allow retail investors to vote, so shareholders should contact their broker directly to confirm eligibility and request instructions. Investors can also reach Tesla’s proxy solicitor, Innisfree M&A Incorporated, at +1 (412) 232-3651. If no voting instructions are received, brokers may exercise discretion on behalf of clients.

Those unable to find voting emails can still vote via mail, phone, or QR code, with details available at VoteTesla.com. Tesla emphasised that every vote counts, regardless of the number of shares one holds.
