President Donald Trump is reportedly set to host JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon and the chiefs of other Wall Street firms at a White House dinner on Wednesday.
According to a report by CBS News citing sources familiar with the matter, the dinner will also include other Wall Street CEOs as the Trump administration focuses on rebuilding critical domestic supply chains.
Among those on the list are BlackRock Inc.’s (BLK) Larry Fink, Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s (GS) David Solomon, Morgan Stanley’s (MS) Ted Pick, and Blackstone Inc.’s (BX) Stephen Schwarzman, according to the report.
The invitation to JPMorgan’s Dimon comes a month after the country’s biggest bank announced plans to invest $1.5 trillion through a decade-long program. The program will invest in several critical industries, including defense, energy, and manufacturing.
“This new initiative includes efforts like ensuring reliable access to life-saving medicines and critical minerals, defending our nation, building energy systems to meet AI-driven demand and advancing technologies like semiconductors and data centers,” Dimon stated.
The White House dinner comes amid the Trump administration’s focus on reshoring manufacturing in the U.S. It was also one of the key areas of focus of the Trump administration’s “Liberation Day” tariffs announcement.
President Trump had previously hosted several tech industry CEOs at the White House in September, including Apple’s Tim Cook, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Alphabet’s Sundar Pichai, and Meta Platforms’ Mark Zuckerberg, among others.
JPM stock was up nearly 1% in Wednesday’s opening trade, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits around the company trending in the ‘bearish’ territory.
