AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. (EagleNXT) (UAVS) stock surged over 18% on Tuesday after the developer of advanced unmanned aerial systems stated that it secured a new contract to supply drone systems to support missions in Europe.

EagleNXT announced it has sold two of its eBee VISION unmanned aerial systems to the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR).

Capabilities Of The eBee VISION

The eBee VISION platform is a lightweight, fixed-wing drone built for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) tasks under challenging conditions. With up to 90 minutes of flight endurance, a wireless range of roughly 12 miles, encrypted communications and fast, three-minute deployment, the system delivers near-real-time data to operators. 

EagleNXT highlighted that the eBee VISION is Blue UAS Cleared by the U.S. Department of Defense and fully compliant with the National Defense Authorization Act.

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock shifted to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish’ territory amid ‘extremely high’ message volume levels.

A bullish Stocktwits user said the company is becoming a major player in the “defense drone zone.”

Another user said they have added shares after the NATO update. 

Supplying To The U.S. Army 

On January 2, EagleNXT said it completed the sale of six eBee TAC tactical mapping drones to the U.S. Army, each outfitted with high-end S.O.D.A. 3D and Duet M sensors that include full RTK/PPK positional accuracy.

The fixed-wing eBee TAC offers highly accurate location data without the need for traditional ground control points. The sale was facilitated through EagleNXT’s European partner, Dronivo GmbH.

UAVS stock has declined by over 26% in the last 12 months.
