Shares of Wearable Devices Ltd (WLDS) soared over 18% in the pre-market session before trading in the red at market open on Wednesday after it announced a collaboration with AI and AR glass maker Rokid.
The collaboration is aimed at delivering gesture control for AI and augmented reality glasses that feels natural, fast and consistent in daily use, the company said.
The two companies will work together to make it easier for consumers to use Rokid glasses with Wearable Devices’ Mudra Link neural wristband for touch-free, wrist-based control, they said. The collaboration is aimed at reducing friction in common, repeatable actions so consumers can spend less time managing controls for the different features available on the glasses such as real-time translation, object recognition, navigation, transcription, and other AI-driven functions.
Rokid Glasses and Mudra Link are compatible and consumer bundles are slated for an initial rollout in the second quarter of 2026.
The company also plans to demonstrate the combined experience at the CES 2026 annual trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, on January 6–9, 2026.
“Smart glasses do not win on features alone. They win when control becomes second nature,” said Wearable Devices CEO Asher Dahan. “Together with Rokid, we are aligning compatibility, onboarding and joint marketing so consumers can experience a practical combination: Rokid Glasses for everyday AI utility and Mudra Link for subtle, wrist-based control that works without the user having to think about it.”
Wearable Devices earlier this week announced updates for the Mudra Link application including customized presets and compatibility of the application on select smart glasses models. Customized presets and the Mudra Link application for select smart glasses will begin rolling out to supported smart-glasses in the first quarter of 2026, with additional models expected to be added throughout the year, the company said on Monday.
On Stocktwits, retail sentiment rose from ‘neutral’ to ‘bullish’ territory over the past 24 hours, while message volume rose from ‘normal’ to ‘extremely high’ levels.
A Stocktwits user highlighted poor reviews for Mudra Link. “I don't see how integrating it with AI and AR glasses before fixing it will help,” they wrote.
WLDS stock fell 85% this year and by 83% over the past 12 months.
