Alphabet’s (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo announced on Thursday that it is partnering with DoorDash (DASH) in Phoenix, expanding into the grocery delivery segment alongside its autonomous ride-hailing services.The company said that DoorDash customers may be matched with a fully autonomous Waymo vehicle for their next delivery from a participating merchant in the coming months.If customers opt for autonomous vehicle delivery when checking out on DoorDash, they may be matched with Waymo to deliver their order. Once the order arrives, the customer can open the trunk with the DoorDash app and grab their items.The robotaxi company said that it will begin by delivering from DashMart, DoorDash-owned and operated convenience, grocery, and retail stores. However, it added that it intends to include more local Phoenix merchants and a wider variety of offerings over time.Waymo already offers autonomous rides in Phoenix. NYSE-listed shares of Chinese EV maker Nio (NIO) slumped 7% in the pre-market session on Thursday following reports of Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC Private, filing a report against it over alleged irregularities in its revenue recognition practices.The latest slump in the stock price comes after the shares touched a 1.5-year high in late September. According to Stocktwits data, retail chatter around <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/NIO">Nio</a> jumped 39% over the past 24 hours. At the same time, retail sentiment around the stock remains in the ‘bearish’ territory. Nio’s Hong Kong-listed shares, meanwhile, traded 9% lower at the time of writing.The lawsuit, filed in August, centers on Nio’s relationship with its battery asset operator Mirattery, established with partners including CATL, Guotai Junan, and Hubei Science Technology Investment. GIC alleged Nio misled investors by inflating revenue through Mirattery, resulting in investment losses.The lawsuit has reportedly been stayed temporarily in a U.S. court pending the outcome of an earlier class action. Until that case is resolved, Nio is not required to respond, Stocktwits <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/nio-shares-slip-in-hong-kong-after-singapore-s-gic-sues-over-revenue-practices/ch6YoDKR3V9">reported</a> earlier today, citing CnEVPost. The fund’s lawsuit is said to have been triggered by a June 2022 short-seller report from Grizzly Research, which accused Nio of using Mirattery to exaggerate revenues and profit margins.GIC’s allegations echo Grizzly’s claims, asserting that Nio improperly recognized full battery sales revenue upfront when selling batteries to Mirattery under its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. The fund argues that using installment-based revenue recognition would have resulted in materially lower performance figures and prevented Nio’s 2021 valuation spike. Nio, however, conducted an internal review following the report and said the allegations were unfounded.The company is rapidly ramping up EV deliveries. In the third quarter, it delivered 87,071 vehicles, representing a growth of 40.8% year-on-year. The firm, however, is yet to turn a profit. According to Stocktwits data, retail chatter around Nio rose 39% over the past 24 hours.

(PRAX) announced on Thursday that patients with essential tremor treated with Ulixacaltamide in a late-stage study showed improvement in functional independence.A 4.3 point mean improvement in the Modified Activities of Daily Living 11 (mADL11) score was observed at week 8 in the trial, the company <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.praxismedicines.com/news-releases/news-release-details/praxis-precision-medicines-announces-positive-topline-results-1">said</a>. The score is used to assess a person's functional independence and evaluate a person’s ability to do day-to-day activities. Furthermore, the effect was sustained from week 2 throughout the 12-week dosing period, it added.Essential Tremor is the most common movement disorder, affecting roughly seven million people in the U.S. alone, according to Praxis. It is characterized by involuntary rhythmic movement in the upper limbs, with or without tremor in other body locations such as the head, vocal cords, or legs.Praxis now plans to submit an application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for approval of Ulixacaltamide in essential tremor by early 2026. Shares of TrueCar (TRUE) rallied 60% on Wednesday morning after the company said that it has entered into a definitive agreement under which Fair Holdings, Inc., an entity led by TrueCar founder Scott Painter, will acquire the company in an all-cash, go-private transaction at $2.55 per share.This represents a premium of about 72% from the stock’s closing price on Tuesday and amounts to an equity value of approximately $227 million based on current basic shares outstanding.TrueCar <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/truecar-to-be-acquired-by-founder-led-strategic-and-financial-investor-group-in-all-cash-go-private-transaction-302584766.html">said</a> that Fair Holdings is negotiating with various financial and strategic investors to syndicate the financing of the deal with equity investments.TrueCar Chair Barbara Carbone said that the board unanimously approved the transaction after a thorough and careful evaluation. “...we are confident it is in the best interest of TrueCar stockholders and other stakeholders,” they added.Upon completion of the deal, Scott Painter will be the CEO of the company again, it said. Pfizer CEO Reportedly Says Vaccine Approvals Getting Harder

According to a report from Bloomberg, Bourla said that it's harder to get vaccine approvals and not drug approvals.

Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) on Wednesday said that its oral GLP-1 drug Orforglipron lowered blood glucose levels in two late-stage trials, confirming its potential in treating type-2 diabetes.While one of the trials evaluated Orforglipron versus Dapagliflozin in 962 patients with type-2 diabetes inadequately controlled on Metformin, the other trial assessed Orforglipron versus placebo in 546 adults with type 2 diabetes and inadequate glycemic control with titrated insulin glargine.In both <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://lilly.mediaroom.com/2025-10-15-Lillys-oral-GLP-1,-orforglipron,-demonstrated-superior-glycemic-control-in-two-successful-Phase-3-trials,-reconfirming-its-potential-as-a-foundational-treatment-in-type-2-diabetes?utm_source=x&amp;utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_campaign=cmh_offx&amp;utm_id=cmh">trials</a>, all three doses of Orforglipron delivered significant blood sugar reduction and weight loss as well as improvements in multiple cardiovascular risk factors, the company said. The results of these trials will now be presented at a future medical meeting."Orforglipron has now demonstrated superiority over two active comparators in clinical trials for type 2 diabetes," said Jeff Emmick, senior vice president of product development, Lilly Cardiometabolic Health. Emmick noted that these late-stage trial data reinforce the drug’s potential to become a new standard of care for people with type 2 diabetes.The company is now awaiting data from another late-stage trial of Orforglipron in type-2 diabetes in the first quarter of 2026.Lilly plans to submit Orforglipron for the treatment of type 2 diabetes to global regulatory agencies in 2026. Submission for the treatment of obesity is on track to occur by the end of this year, it noted.Orforglipron was discovered by Chugai Pharmaceutical Co. and licensed by Lilly in 2018. Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk (NVO) on Wednesday said that it has entered into a definitive asset purchase and license agreement with Omeros Corporation (OMER) for its drug candidate Zaltenibart.Zaltenibart is in clinical development for rare blood and kidney disorders. Under the <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.novonordisk.com/content/nncorp/global/en/news-and-media/news-and-ir-materials/news-details.html?id=916434">deal,</a> Novo Nordisk will be granted exclusive global rights to develop and commercialize Zaltenibart in all indications.Omeros will receive $340 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments and will be eligible to receive up to a total of $2.1 billion, including commercial milestone payments, in addition to tiered royalties on net sales. Following the closing of the transaction, Novo intends to initiate a global late-stage program for Zaltenibart in paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, a rare, acquired blood disorder where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys red blood cells. Omeros has already reported positive mid-stage data for Zaltenibart in treating the blood disorder.The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025. <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/OMER">OMER shares</a> soared 136% in the pre-market session.
