The metric has reportedly touched the best levels in a decade, the report said, while adding that the companywide payout was set to 84% in 2023 and to 69% in 2024.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ford’s Recall Streak</h2>Ford issued over 150 recalls in the U.S. in 2025, making it the automaker to issue the most recalls, seconded by Stellantis.The Dearborn-based automaker issued recalls to fix concerns over its electrical system, back over prevention, powertrain, exterior lighting, suspension and more.During Ford’s second quarter earnings in July, chief operating officer Kumar Galhotra admitted that the company is “not satisfied with the current level of recalls or the number of vehicles impacted.”In an earnings call in October, Galhotra said that the company has radically improved launch quality over the past two years in a bid to reduce recalls and is conducting rigorous engineering reviews to find and fix issues.“It takes time for these improvements to improve our recall numbers, as older models have to work their way out of the system. We're already seeing our recall costs shift towards more aged vehicles. Since the peak recall period is in years three to five, we expect a meaningful improvement soon,” he said.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Ford 2026 Outlook</h2>Earlier this week, Ford <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/ford-fourth-quarter-earnings-2025/cZbUkTbR4pV">guided</a> core profit for 2026 within Wall Street estimates despite its fourth-quarter (Q4) earnings trailing Wall Street expectations. Ford Reportedly Boosts Companywide Bonus On Solving Vehicle Quality Issues That Spurred 2025 Recall Streak 

Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing four people familiar with the matter, that the company’s companywide bonuses would be set to 130%.

LYFT Stock Drops 16% After Hours: What’s Driving the Selloff?

(F) edged up after hours on Tuesday after the automaker guided core profit for 2026 within Wall Street estimates despite its fourth-quarter (Q4) earnings trailing Wall Street expectations.The company now <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://s205.q4cdn.com/882619693/files/doc_financials/2025/q4/Ford-Q4-2025-Earnings-Press-Release.pdf">expects</a> a full year 2026 adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of $8.0 billion to $10.0 billion, in line with an analyst estimate of $9.07 billion, and above the $6.8 billion recorded last year.A majority of this would be brought in by the company’s segment dedicated to commercial customers and partially offset by losses in the electric vehicle segment called Model e, it said.<h2 class="st-heading-2">The Redeeming Outlook</h2>The company said adjusted EBIT from its commercial vehicle segment is expected to be between $6.5 billion to $7.5 billion, while EBIT from the company’s hybrid and gas vehicle segment is estimated to be $4 billion to $4.5 billion.Model e, however, is expected to incur losses of $4 billion to $4.5 billion in 2026.The company also guided to 2026 capital expenditures of $9.5 billion to $10.5 billion, up from $8.8 billion in 2025, and free cash flow of between $5 billion and $6 billion for the full year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Q4 Earnings</h2>The carmaker reported disappointing Q4 adjusted earnings per share of $0.13, significantly below the $0.39 reported in the corresponding quarter of 2024, and lower than an analyst estimate of $0.19, according to data from Fiscal AI.Ford said that the lower earnings were impacted by the fires at a Novelis aluminum supplier plant last year which impacted the company’s F-series truck production. Ford Shares Rise After Hours On 2026 Guidance That Helped Offset Pessimism Around Disappointing Q4 Earnings 

The carmaker, however, reported Q4 adjusted earnings per share of $0.13, below the $0.39 reported in the corresponding quarter of 2024, and lower than an analyst estimate of $0.19.

However, no final decision has been made and the situation would change, the report said.As per one of Bloomberg’s sources, Stellantis could sell its stake to a third party. Some sources also said that the exit from the 2021 JV could be costly for the automaker, as per the report.The report comes on the heels of Stellantis exiting a joint venture with LG Energy Solution in Windsor last week. The company sold its 49% stake in the JV to LG for just $100. &nbsp;STLA shares rose 3% at the time of writing. The automaker didn’t respond to Stocktwits’ request for comment at the time of writing.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Stellantis’ EV Pullback</h2>Last week, Stellantis <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/stellantis-stock-tumbles-toward-worst-day-ever/cZbF7rCR4nY">said</a> that a strategic review of its operations resulted in €22.2 billion ($26.42 billion) in charges in the second half of 2025. Most of the write-downs reflected a reassessment of the pace of customer adoption of electric vehicles."The charges announced today largely reflect the cost of over-estimating the pace of the energy transition that distanced us from many car buyers’ real-world needs, means and desires. They also reflect the impact of previous poor operational execution, the effects of which are being progressively addressed by our new Team,” CEO Antonio Filosa then said in a statement.The largest portion, €14.7 billion, relates to changes in product plans and U.S. emissions compliance, including write-offs of canceled vehicles and impairments of EV platforms.
