CoreWeaves sharp selloff is being driven by concerns that heavy borrowing and high financing costs leave it vulnerable if AI infrastructure spending fails to generate sufficient returns, amplified by Gartners warning that many neocloud providers may not survive independently. Traders are split between fears of financial distress and bankruptcy and dip-buying arguments that contracted demand, the companys backlog, and potential Nvidia support could help it weather the pressure.

Traders are divided between seeing the decline as a warning about valuations and financing risks and treating it as a buying opportunity, with some arguing Nebius is better positioned than CoreWeave.
