$ALK USA is constantly working on the Hormuz oil issues. I think the hype of a war and scare of the news makes the gas and oil thing a lot bigger. I think at some point maybe not the war but the oil problems will be resolved. I think the oil issue is a lot Less an issue than it was the very start of the war. So many barrels have came out and it will be resolved, this and other travel based stocks will either fly on news or gradually climb back from here on out.

Alaska Air Group expects Boeing to receive certification for its 737 MAX 10 before the end of September, Chief Operating Officer Jason Berry told Reuters on Thursday. The airline expects to receive its first MAX 10 next spring, with deliveries expected to begin ahead of the planned launch of passenger operations. Alaska Air plans to place the aircraft into commercial service between April and mid-May, initially deploying it on passenger routes as part of its broader fleet expansion. The timing depends on Boeing securing the necessary certification from regulators and completing the delivery process. The MAX 10 is the largest version of Boeing’s 737 MAX family and is designed to provide airlines with additional seating capacity while maintaining the operating characteristics of the 737 platform. $ALK $BA

Alaska said it’s working to become more reliant on revenue from premium seats, international flights, its loyalty program and cargo, which is higher margin than the main cabin. It forecast on Tuesday that those more lucrative products will reach close to 60% of its total revenue by 2030, up from 53% currently. Even with the cabin changes, Alaska, which completed its merger with Hawaiian Airlines in September 2024, will continue to operate the two airlines as separate brands. Here are some of the changes: Alaska’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners will get 34 lie-flat suites in a new offering it’s calling Aurora. It will also have 35 seats in a new premium-economy section, called Premium Reserve, on the 787-9 and 787-10, starting in 2028. $ALK $BA
