Those developments have been funded by the companies themselves, although China has announced a venture capital fund and an action plan to support the growth of the AI industry.The comments about the AI industry come a month after the Chinese regulator, the State Administration for Market Regulation, instructed food delivery players Meituan, Alibaba's Ele.me, and JD Takeaway to tone down spending on promotions and discounts.Meanwhile, top Chinese companies seem to have held up under pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.
