FanDuel Parent Flutter Shares Pop On CME Group Partnership For Financial Market Betting Product  

The partnership extends financial market-based betting to fantasy sports users, marking a significant convergence that could reshape the online wagering industry as adoption accelerates nationwide.

Casino and resort operator Las Vegas Sands (LVS) reported second-quarter revenue and profit above expectations on Wednesday, sending its shares up nearly 4% in extended trading.The momentum stemmed from strong business at its properties in Singapore. Revenue from operations in the region rose 36%, while revenue from Macau operations rose 2.5%."We remain enthusiastic about our opportunities to deliver industry-leading growth in both Macau and Singapore as we realize the benefits from our recently completed capital investment programs in both markets," said CEO Robert Goldstein.&nbsp;The company recently broke ground on an $8 billion expansion of its Marina Bay Sands property in Singapore, adding to its investments in renovations and upgrades to the property over the past few years. Wynn Resorts Enters UK Market With Crown London Acquisition: Retail Still On The Sidelines

The casino operator’s international expansion is sparking excitement among analysts.

Wynn Resorts (WYNN) has pulled its joint application with real estate developer Related Co. for a casino license in New York.The casino and resort operator said it is seeing increasing community pushback and would rather use its capital elsewhere.Wynn had partnered with Related Co. to develop an integrated casino resort in Manhattan's posh Hudson Yards neighborhood.On Monday, Wynn said the company would rather deploy capital in share buybacks than "invest in an area in which we, or any casino operator, will face years of persistent opposition despite our willingness to employ 5,000 New Yorkers.”According to a Bloomberg News report, New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher said on Monday that he would not support a casino at the site.Wynn was one of several companies competing for one of three expected casino licenses in the greater New York City area.
