Retail sentiment around the apex cryptocurrency on Stocktwits remained in ‘extremely bullish’ territory over the past day amid ‘high’ levels of chatter.<h2 class="st-heading-2">MSCI Delays Exclusion But Tightens the Rules</h2>MSCI said it plans to open a broader consultation on “non-operating companies generally,” leaving the long-term treatment of DATs unresolved.For now, DATs already included in MSCI indexes will remain, provided they meet existing eligibility requirements. However, MSCI imposed constraints. It will not increase the number of shares, foreign inclusion factor, or domestic inclusion factor for these securities. It will also defer additions or size-segment migrations.The rules effectively freeze the index footprint of companies like MSTR. MSTR Avoids MSCI Exclusion, But Critics Warn That Risks Remain

MSCI’s decision freezes index exposure for DATs, limiting future passive demand tied to new share issuance.

Block (XYZ) announced on Wednesday that its board has approved an additional $5 billion for its existing share repurchase program ahead of its 2025 Investor Day.&nbsp;The move comes on top of a previously authorized $4 billion program, of which roughly $1.1 billion remained unspent at the end of September, the company said in its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Block can repurchase its Class A shares either on the open market or through private transactions.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/XYZ/">XYZ’s stock</a> rose as much as 1.8% in pre-market trade. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the Jack Dorsey-led enterprise trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day.<h2 class="st-heading-2">XYZ 2025 Investor Day</h2>At XYZ’s 2025 Investor Day, Block’s senior leadership is expected to outline full-year financial guidance for 2026 and provide a three-year outlook. The company said the expanded buyback program is a central part of that strategy, aimed at returning capital to shareholders while supporting share price stability. The event will take place at 12:00 p.m. ET.Block reported its third-quarter (Q3) earnings earlier this month, which missed analyst expectations. The company reported revenue of $6.1 billion, missing the Wall Street forecast of $6.3 billion, as per Koyfin. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.54, below the consensus forecast of $0.66.<h2 class="st-heading-2">XYZ’s Outlook</h2>For 2025, the company forecasted $10.24 billion in gross profit, up 15% from 2024, and expects full-year adjusted operating income of $2.06 billion, representing a 20% margin and nearly 28% year-over-year growth. Fourth-quarter (Q4) gross profit was projected to rise 19% to $2.76 billion, with adjusted operating income of $560 million and a 20% margin.&nbsp;“This quarter, I want to outline how Square will continue to take market share by being the best platform to help sellers grow, run, and automate their businesses,” said Jack Dorsey on the earnings call.
