Dogecoin is primarily used as a tipping system on Reddit and Twitter where users tip each other for creating or sharing good content. The community is very active in organising fundraising activities for deserving causes.  The developers of Dogecoin haven’t made any major changes to the coin since 2015. The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.

Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. (CADL) surged nearly 10% on Tuesday afternoon after the company reported upbeat first-quarter (Q1) earnings.The company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.candeltx.com/news-releases/news-release-details/candel-therapeutics-reports-first-quarter-2025-financial-results">reported</a> diluted net income per share of $0.13 for the three months through the end of March, compared to a loss of $0.28 in the corresponding period of 2024, and surpassing an estimated loss of $0.35 per share, as per Finchat data.It said the rise in net income was primarily related to the change in the fair value of the company’s warrant liability.While research and development expenses narrowed year-on-year in the quarter, general and administrative expenses rose.The biopharmaceutical company ended the first quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $92.2 million compared to $102.7 million as of Dec. 31, 2024. Candel expects that its existing cash and cash equivalents will be sufficient to fund its current operating plan into the first quarter of 2027.CEO Paul-Peter Tak said that the company’s primary focus for 2025 remains working toward submitting an application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the commercialisation of its investigational immunotherapy candidate and lead asset CAN-2409 for the treatment of prostate cancer. Candel Therapeutics Stock Jumps On Upbeat Q1 Earnings: Retail Gets More Bullish

Candel Therapeutics Inc. stock ended Wednesday deep in the red but rose 1.3% in extended trading after the company announced encouraging data from a cancer drug trial.The company reported final survival data from a Phase 2a trial of&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/cadl-stock-jumps-on-canaccord-buy-rating/ch5uUlPRwp">CAN-2409</a> in advanced lung cancer patients who did not respond well to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI).&nbsp;The median overall survival (mOS) was 24.5 months for those receiving two courses of CAN-2409, significantly higher than the 9.8-11.8 months seen in similar patients receiving standard chemotherapy.The study included 46 fully treated patients, with 37% of those with progressive disease still alive after two years.&nbsp;Patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) showed the most potent response, with a mOS of 25.4 months in this group.
