Shares of CDW Corp (CDW) jumped nearly 6% in intraday trading on Tuesday after Morgan Stanley turned bullish on the hardware and software company. 

The Wall Street bank says concerns around AI disruption and weak software sales have created an attractive entry point in CDW.

For perspective, it's now above the 130 to 143 range it had traded in so far this month. 
 
The backdrop is the August Q2 report, which I went back through. Net sales hit a record 6.6 billion, up 10 percent, and non GAAP EPS of 2.91 rose 12 percent. Management raised its outlook, citing AI infrastructure demand, and said written orders exceeded invoicing with backlog significantly elevated. 
 
There were soft spots too. Gross margin slipped 70 basis points to 20.1 percent on mix, and third quarter gross profit was guided to mid single digit growth, a cautious tone. 
 
The next earnings report is still ahead.
