Cholamandalam Financial hits record high; jumps 15% in six daysCapital Market • 16 days agoShares of the company surged 15.22% in six trading sessions from its recent closing low of Rs 991.05 on 5 September 2023.The stock hit a life-time high of Rs 1,144.70 today. The counter has soared 122.73% from its 52-week low of Rs 512.65 hit on 28 March 2023.On the BSE, 6,517 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 7,619 shares in the past two weeks. The scrip had outperformed the market in past one month, advancing 24.19% as against 3.28% increase in Sensex.The scrip outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 30.97% as against Sensexs 6.84% rise.The counter had outperformed the market in past one year, surging 73.59% as against Sensexs 11.38% surge.On the technical front, the stocks daily RSI (relative strength index) stood at 80.835. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, the RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30.On the daily chart, the stock was trading above its 50 day, 100-day and 200-day simple moving average (SMA) placed at 952.56, 879.02 and 730.09, respectively. These levels will act as crucial support zones in near term.Cholamandalam Financial Holdings (CFHL) is registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a Non-Deposit taking Systemically Important Core Investment Company (CIC-ND-SI). The company has significant shareholding in companies viz., Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company and Cholamandalam MS Risk Services.The companys consolidated net profit jumped 38.9% to Rs 371.43 crore on 44.2% surge in total income to Rs 5,714.59 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
