Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. The analyst noted that annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth in the Digital Media business, which provides creative software tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator via Creative Cloud, and document solutions such as Adobe Acrobat, diverged directionally from the pace and quality of innovation embedded in the product portfolio.The analyst suggests the variance may stem from direct GenAI monetization lagging initial investor expectations and a sizeable portion of the Adobe ARR base lacking confidence that GenAI advancements are a net positive.&nbsp;The annual results reported Wednesday after the close showed that the company exited 2025 with Digital Media ARR of $19.20 billion, marking 11.5% YoY growth. This business fetches roughly three-fourths of Adobe’s revenue.&nbsp;<img src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/Digital_Media_ARR_png_95295bddda.webp" alt="Digital_Media_ARR.png">CEO Shantanu Narayen, however, sounded upbeat. Adobe once attempted to buy Figma for about $20 billion, but then called off the deal due to antitrust concerns. According to the BCG Matrix, Adobe has an estimated 58%&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://matrixbcg.com/blogs/competitors/adobe">share</a> in the creative software industry.But rivals are catching up. Morgan Stanley analyst Elizabeth Porter sees Figma as the “industry standard” in product design software. The analyst highlighted the company’s real-time collaboration platform as its competitive advantage, helping to accelerate the process of turning ideas into digital products.Consolidating workflows and expanding beyond UX designers to developers, marketers, and product managers provides a long runway to increase penetration from 4% currently, in an estimated total addressable market (TAM) of about $26 billion, the analyst said.Still privately held, Canva, though a smaller rival, is seen as a serious emerging threat to Adobe. The company, widely rumored to go public in 2026, relaunched its Affinity creative suite, comprising Photo, Designer, Publisher, as one all-in-one Affinity app that is free for everyone. The stock is now down more than 16% from the early November high of $280.67.After falling 4.34% to $234.03 on Friday, the stock is trading up more than 1% in overnight trading, according to Yahoo Finance.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Strong Demand Trends</h2>Jefferies analysts said a partner survey showed robust demand for Snowflake, catalyzed by artificial intelligence (AI), according to a summary of the note available on the Fly. Bozeman, Montana-based Snowflake is a cloud-based AI-powered data storage company.Encouraged by the positive checks, analysts at the firm see the company having a strong second half of 2025. They also expect the company to benefit from growing AI adoption and conservative guidance.&nbsp;Snowflake is a top pick at Jefferies. As such, the firm raised its price target for the Snowflake stock to $300 from $270. The updated price target implies 28% upside from the current beaten-down levels.&nbsp;Snowflake has been quick to announce enterprise partnerships recently. (WDAY)&nbsp;surged 5.12% to $230.22 in Tuesday's after-hours trading,&nbsp;following a stake buildup by an activist investor in the AI-driven human resources software developer.Elliott Investment Management said in a press&nbsp;release that it had built up a stake worth more than $2 billion in Workday,&nbsp;making it the fourth-largest institutional investor in the company.&nbsp;Vanguard Group, which holds about $5 billion worth of Workday shares, is currently its largest institutional investor, according to Koyfin.Elliott acknowledged the efforts of CEO Carl Eschenbach, CFO Zane Rowe, and the entire Workday team for making "substantial progress" in recent years.The activist investor also said it is pleased with its dialogue with Workday's management team. It lauded the company for the multi-year plan announced at the Financial Analyst Day held on Tuesday. This plan would drive substantial long-term value creation for the company's shareholders, it added.
