Vitalik Buterin proposed Ethereum in 2013, but seven co-founders helped build it, including Gavin Wood who created Solidity and the EVM technical specification, and Joseph Lubin who founded ConsenSys. The project launched in July 2015 after raising over $18 million through crowdfunding, quickly becoming the largest blockchain developer community. Major milestones include the 2020 Beacon Chain launch, the 2021 London hard fork implementing fee burning, and the 2022 Merge to Proof of Stake.   Ether (ETH) serves multiple functions: paying transaction fees (gas), staking to secure the network and earn 3-5% annual yields, serving as collateral in DeFi protocols, and purchasing NFTs and digital assets. COIN Stock Gains After Coinbase Deepens DeFi Strategy With Chainlink Integration

The move comes after Coinbase launched perpetual futures for non-U.S. users last week, including leveraged trading on stocks like Apple and Nvidia, as well as ETFs such as SPY and QQQ.

Earnings came in at a loss of $9.04 per share, much higher than the estimated loss of $0.2 per share.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ASST">ASST’s stock</a> fell nearly 3% in pre-market trade after&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin’s price</a> slid to below $70,000 on Thursday morning. This comes after the stock fell nearly 10% in the previous session. Its holdings in STRC stock were valued at $50.4 million. Strive also reported 59.3 million Class A shares, 9.9 million Class B shares, and 4.3 million SATA shares outstanding.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Strive Adds Buys Another 317 Bitcoin</h2>Strive’s financial results also showed that the company had a total of 13,627 Bitcoin on its balance sheets, 317 BTC higher than its last tally of 31,310 BTC reported last week. At Bitcoin’s current price, this puts the value of its holdings at around $948 million.In Q4, the company reported a Bitcoin yield of 22.2% and 13.8% quarter-to-date yield for the first quarter of 2026, through March 17.
