The Personal Customers segment is involved in the personal customers and private banking customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. The Business Customers segment serves small and medium-sized business customers across all markets and includes the asset finance operations of the group. The Large Corporates and Institutions segment deals with large corporate and institutional customers across all Nordic markets. The Danica segment offers pension schemes, life insurance policies, and health insurance policies in Denmark. The Northern Ireland segment provides services for personal, business, and corporate in Northern Ireland. The Group Functions segment represents the group treasury, group support functions, non-core and eliminations, including the elimination of returns on own shares and issues. The company was founded by Gottlieb Hartvig Abrahamsson Gedalia on October 5, 1871 and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
