You do not look at plan B by just waiting for a couple of phone calls,” said&nbsp;CEO Pierre R. Brondeau.“We are running it like a divestiture process. We've hired two banks, Bank of America and Goldman Sachs, who are running the process. We do have a legal advisor. We have prepared the management presentation and the data, and we have actually already given a management presentation to parties, which are interested in the acquisition, potentially, of FMC,” he added.&nbsp;“So this process is fully in motion, despite the fact that my priority as a CEO is Plan A and delivering on the operating plan. The other process is being fully run and completely in motion,” he further said.<h2 class="st-heading-2">FMC’s Strategic Options</h2>FMC earlier in the month announced its 2026 priorities and the authorization by the board to explore strategic options.The company had said that the organization continues to focus on its 2026 operational priorities, including strengthening the balance sheet, improving the competitiveness of its core portfolio, managing its post-patent Rynaxypyr which is broad-spectrum anthranilic diamide insecticide developed by FMC, active strategy and supporting growth of new active ingredients.&nbsp;The company has forecasted its full year 2026 revenue in between $3.60 billion to $3.80 billion, a decline of 5% at the midpoint versus prior year. Comerica (CMA) shares fell 5% on Wednesday after the company missed the Wall Street estimate for fourth-quarter earnings.The lender reported an adjusted net earnings of $1.20 per share for the October to December quarter, compared with average analysts’ estimate of $1.26 per share, according to FinChat data.Its net interest income (NII) fell marginally to $575 million compared to last year.“Loans were pressured by paydowns in Commercial Real Estate, but we saw promising signals across other businesses that support our outlook for growth in 2025,” CEO Curtis C. Farmer said in a statement.The bank said that loans decreased $244 million to $50.6 billion sequentially during the fourth quarter, driven lower by a $225 million decline in Commercial Real Estate and a $132 million fall in Corporate Banking. Comerica Stock Drops On Q4 Earnings Miss, Retail Reaction Split

The lender reported an adjusted net earnings of $1.20 per share for the October to December quarter, compared with average analysts’ estimate of $1.26 per share, according to FinChat data.

Shares of refiner Valero Energy Corporation ($VLO) rose nearly 1% in Thursday’s premarket session after the firm’s third-quarter (Q3) earnings and revenue topped Wall Street estimates.The firm <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20241023908536/en/Valero-Energy-Reports-Third-Quarter-2024-Results">reported</a> a 14% year-over-year (YoY) decline in its Q3 revenues to $32.87 billion compared to a Wall Street estimate of $31.13 billion. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $1.14 versus an estimate of $0.98. Net income, however, slid over 86% YoY to $364 million during the quarter.Refining margins came in at $2.41 billion during the quarter compared to $5.41 billion in the same quarter a year ago.The firm’s refining segment reported Q3 operating income of $565 million, compared to $3.4 billion for the same period a year ago.The Renewable Diesel segment reported $35 million of operating income compared to $123 million for the third quarter of 2023. Valero Energy Stock Rises Pre-Market After Upbeat Q3 Print: Retail Ignores Big Profit Decline 

The firm reported a 14% year-over-year (YoY) decline in its Q3 revenues to $32.87 billion compared to a Wall Street estimate of $31.13 billion.

Fifth Third Bancorp’s stock ($FITB) was down nearly 1.7% &nbsp;in pre-market trading after the company’s third-quarter earnings per share (EPS) and revenue missed Wall Street estimates. Retail sentiment, however, was neutral on Stocktwits.Fifth Third posted $0.78 in EPS, below the $0.83 estimated by analysts. Its revenue stood at $2.13 billion, below the expected $2.16 billion.Net income fell 13% to $573 million compared to the same period last year. Its net interest income fell 1% from a year-ago quarter to $1.43 billion.Retail sentiment was neutral (53/100) compared to ‘extremely bullish’ (79/100) a day ago. Message volume, meanwhile, was ‘high’.
