Rajasthan-based smart metering solutions and service provider Genus Power has deployed 10 million smart meters under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) across nine states. Under RDSS, India aims to replace 250 million conventional meters with smart meters by 2028. In addition, another 15 million meters manufactured by Genus have been deployed through other advanced metering infrastructure service providers and utility partners, taking the total number of Genus smart meters operational in India to 25 million.
