The&nbsp;research&nbsp;firm sees a balanced risk-reward for&nbsp;the stock, ahead of the music streaming company’s third-quarter report on Nov. 4.According to Fiscal.ai, Spotify is expected to report earnings per share (EPS) of 1.98 euros ($2.33) and revenue of 4.23 billion euros for the third quarter. This compares to the year-ago numbers of 1.45 euros and 3.99 billion euros.Goldman analysts believe&nbsp;the stock’s move suggests that investors are pricing in Spotify's forward growth. Nevertheless, the analyst continues to forecast mid-teens percent&nbsp;growth&nbsp;in the&nbsp;company’s&nbsp;annual total revenue over the next four years.The&nbsp;latest downgrade follows two Wall Street brokerages' upbeat commentaries about Spotify on Monday. JPMorgan analysts maintained an ‘Overweight’ rating on the stock, and increased the price target to $805 from $740, attributing the action to the firm’s updated model to factor in the recent international price hike. The firm expects a price hike to be announced in the U.S. later this year. It projects 2026 total year-over-year revenue growth of 14% for Spotify, expecting its recent music deal agreements to push it closer to the launch of the anticipated Superfan Tier.Separately, Argus initiated coverage of Spotify with a ‘Buy’ rating and a $845 price target, implying a 16% upside from the stock’s Monday close. Netflix Co-Founder Reed Hastings Joins Anthropic’s Board

The stock is in the spotlight ahead of the company’s quarterly earnings, due Tuesday before the market opens.According to the Finchat-compiled consensus, the Stockholm-based company is expected to report earnings per share (EPS) of 2.21 euros and revenue of 4.2 billion euros. Spotify’s guidance calls for revenue of 4.2 billion euros for the quarter.&nbsp;This compares to the year-ago numbers of 0.97 euros and 3.64 billion euros, respectively, and the preceding quarter’s 1.76 euros and 4.24 billion euros.The company had guided to a first-quarter gross margin of 31.5% and operating income of 548 million euros.Spotify expects its first-quarter monthly active users (MAU) to be 678 million and total premium subscribers to be 265 million.&nbsp;Previewing the quarterly results, Macquarie analyst Ross Compton said he expects 11% year-over-year (YoY) subscriber growth to 265 million, helping drive MAUs by 10% to 678 million. The analyst’s forecast for a moderation in subscriber growth is due to the company’s high penetration in most developed markets.The analyst said, “This drives urgency to monetize user segments more efficiently (potential Premium tier) and accelerate advertising efforts.”He also said the recent negotiations with label groups suggest tempered gross margin growth in 2025. That said, he expects video podcasts and audiobooks to offer the potential for expanding gross margins.Macquarie sees risk for advertising revenue due to brand spend pullback in tariff turmoil. (SPOT) shares are on track to hit a new high on Tuesday after the Stockholm-based music streaming service announced solid fiscal year 2024 fourth-quarter results, thanks to record margins.The company reported fourth-quarter earnings per share (EPS) of 1.76 euros ($1.82), up from a loss of 0.36 euros for the year-ago quarter.&nbsp;Revenue climbed 15.6% year over year (YoY) and 6.4% quarter over quarter (QoQ) to 4.24 billion euros, exceeding the 4.15-billion-euro consensus estimate, according to Yahoo Finance.The company reported full-year EPS of 5.50 euros, reversing from a loss of 2.73 euros, turning to its full year of profitability. Revenue increased over 18% to 15.67 billion euros.Among the user metrics, total monthly active users (MAU) climbed 12% YoY and 5% YoY to&nbsp; 675 million. Spotify Stock Set To Open At New Record On Strong Q4 Performance: Retail Positions For Further Gains

Spotify expects its business to be well-positioned to deliver another year of continued growth and improving margins as it reinvests to support its long-term potential.

Music streaming company Spotify Technology S.A. (SPOT) is scheduled to report its fiscal 2024 fourth-quarter results on Tuesday before the market opens.Analysts, on average, expect the company to report earnings per share of $2.07, reversing from a loss of $0.36 a year ago. Revenue is expected to rise year over year (YoY) to $4.33 billion.&nbsp;Spotify previously guided to revenue of 4.1 billion euros ($4.20 billion), monthly active users (MAU) to 665 million and a subscriber count to 260 million. Canaccord Genuity lifted the price target&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SPOT">Spotify stock</a> to $650 from $560 and maintained a ‘Buy’ rating.
