$HTZ Shorts will lose and here is why: It is called tit for tat in game theory (look it up). They for now operate together as an informal wolf pack which works well in the absence of pressure. They will turn on each other and the beginning of that is the end. It will happen before earnings as risks are too high and the first one to turn on the pack gets out alive. The others will not.

$HTZ After seeing Carvana earnings I am confident that Hertz will absolutely beat q3 earnings estimates.

$HTZ At one point Carvana's stock was .81 cents not too long ago. Just sayin. They still have a ton of debt but started becoming profitable again. Profitable companies will never go out of business. Blame the last ceo for this mess, but Gil West is leading HTZ back to the promise land.

$HTZ Has the youngest fleet in the business. Their strategy is to rotate newer cars, which are holding their value with resale compared to older vehicles. All this keeps depreciation way down. If they meet their guidance of net dpu between $285 and $295, it's going to be a very nice quarter. They sold off most of their older vehicles last quarter hence, the reason for the slightly elevated $302 dpu. Hopefully they can avoid wholesale and sell directly from their own lots. They just started that new program of taking their used cars and allowing drivers to drive them for 3 days before they buy. That tells me they are looking at avoiding wholesale and becoming their own dealer. Smart move.

$HTZ People have to realize, the market wants to see the results before bumping this up. I think that will change this quarter. More and more people will be talking about a rebound story. Htz is maximizing strength in every lever they can pull to turnaround the business. Ceo also mentioned share dilution (ATM) is not happening at these prices. Not sure what shorts are waiting for, but thei rdays are numbered.

$HTZ Has everyone taken steps to prevent their shares from being loaned out to the shorts? I think you have to convert your account to "cash" from "margin" and opt out of any lending programs.

$HTZ there’s really no upside for shorts at this point. Nearly 2 years from the debt wall any hope of recovery in the earnings report could spur a massive rally.
