Trump Media and Technology Group (DJT) filed for five new ETFs with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/DJT">DJT’s stock</a> edged 0.7% higher in morning trade. Retail sentiment on Stocktwits moved higher but remained in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day.&nbsp;The company said that the ETFs would carry an “America-First” theme. The new ETFs, along with requisitions earlier in the year for an ETF that track cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), would collectively be known as the “Truth Social Funds.”The five thematic ETFs include the Truth Social American Icons ETF, American Security &amp; Defense ETF, American Next Frontiers ETF, American Energy Security ETF, and American Red State REITs ETF. The company stated that the ETFs are expected to launch later this year on the NYSE Arca, although proposed fees weren’t disclosed.The company launched its ETF ambitions in June of this year, when it&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/03/trump-truth-social-step-toward-bitcoin-etf-launch-with-new-nyse-filing.html">announced</a> the launch of a Bitcoin-only ETF. Trump Media then&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/trump-media-files-for-truth-social-crypto-blue-chip-etf/chFvHFXR5WX">announced</a> in July that it would also be launching the Truth Social Blue Chip ETF. Trump Media Seeks To Expand ‘Truth Social Funds’ With 5 New America-First ETF Filings

While the data itself does not reflect the current labor market situation, it shows that the labor market was already weakening before Trump took office. While adjustments to jobs data are common, this was the largest revision on record, going as far back as 2002.However, the tepid data also boosted hopes of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve. According to the CME Group's FedWatch tool, 91.6% of traders have priced in a 25-basis-point cut, while some are even projecting a larger 50-basis-point cut.“Gold is up 40% year-to-date on expectations of looser policy. Bitcoin could follow if the Fed cuts unleash liquidity,” BTC Markets analyst Rachael Lucas said.Among Bitcoin ETFs, <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/IBIT">iShares Bitcoin ETF</a> (IBIT) saw inflows of $169.3 million, while Fidelity and Ark Investment’s Bitcoin ETFs posted net outflows. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around Bitcoin moved higher but remained in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day. According to Glassnode, Bitcoin is consolidating between $104,000 and $116,000. “Futures and ETFs flows show cooling demand,” the on-chain analytics firm said in its weekly&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://t.co/UJAtpbXfrF">report</a>. Ethereum Outperforms Bitcoin, While Broader Crypto Market Slips

According to Glassnode, Bitcoin’s price is consolidating in between $104,000 and $116,000  as futures and ETF flows show cooling demand.

American Bitcoin (ABTC) began trading on Nasdaq on Wednesday, opening at around $8 per share. The listing follows the company’s merger with Gryphon Digital Mining.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ABTC">ABTC’s stock</a> traded between $7.59 and $11 after getting listed. ABTC Stock Makes Nasdaq Debut, Trading Halted After Early Swing

The Bitcoin mining and accumulation firm, backed by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., launched earlier this year as a majority-owned subsidiary of crypto miner Hut 8. 

American Bitcoin, a mining and accumulation firm backed by President Trump’s two eldest sons, announced that it is slated to make its Nasdaq debut on Wednesday following the completion of its merger with Gryphon Digital Mining.&nbsp;The stock will be traded under the ticker symbol ‘ABTC’. According to a&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.wsj.com/finance/stocks/american-bitcoin-nasdaq-trump-brother-backed-54cd8118">report</a> by The Wall Street Journal, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Bitcoin (BTC) miner Hut 8 (HUT), and other American Bitcoin shareholders will control approximately 98% of the combined company. Investors in Gryphon, previously listed as GRYP, will hold the remaining stake.“With the backing of the public markets, we believe American Bitcoin is now positioned to set the standard in Bitcoin accumulation,” said Asher Genoot, Executive Chairman of American Bitcoin and CEO of Hut 8, which launched the company earlier this year as a majority-owned subsidiary. “By combining Bitcoin mining, opportunistic market purchases, and the backing of Hut 8’s energy and digital infrastructure, we have created a vehicle designed to drive rapid, efficient Bitcoin-per-share growth.”American Bitcoin said its mandate centered on the single objective of maximizing Bitcoin per share. The company aims to pursue this through a “multi-lever accumulation strategy” that blends self-mining with opportunistic market purchases. According to leadership, it offers the company flexibility to adapt to volatile market conditions.&nbsp;Rather than committing significant capital to build in-house data centers, American Bitcoin plans to mine using Hut 8’s colocation platform, benefiting from next-generation ASIC technology and shared services. Trump Sons-Backed American Bitcoin Slated To Make Nasdaq Debut Today

U.S. Bancorp (USB) announced on Wednesday that it has resumed offering cryptocurrency custody services, launching an early access program for its Global Fund Services clients.The service, first unveiled in 2021, is designed for institutional investment managers with registered or private funds that seek the secure safekeeping of Bitcoin (BTC). NYDIG, a bitcoin-focused financial services and infrastructure firm, will serve as sub-custodian. However, the program was paused after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued guidance requiring custodians to maintain capital on their balance sheets for such activities. The rule was rescinded shortly after President Donald Trump began his second term in office, earlier this year.&nbsp;“We’re excited to resume the service this year,” said Stephen Philipson, vice chair of U.S. Bank Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking.&nbsp; “Following greater regulatory clarity, we’ve expanded our offering to include bitcoin ETFs, which allows us to provide full-service solutions for managers seeking custody and administration services.”<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/USB">U.S. Bancorp’s stock</a> edged 0.4% lower in pre-market trade. Bitcoin (BTC) edged higher early Wednesday as traders debated whether the cryptocurrency’s historical September slump will repeat or if the token is poised to break the pattern.The apex cryptocurrency rose 1.1% over the past 24 hours, trading at $111,461. As of September,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTC.X">Bitcoin’s price</a> has increased by 2.9%. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around Bitcoin remained in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day.&nbsp;The move leaves Bitcoin’s trajectory for the month unclear. While the start hasn’t been strong, it hasn’t reinforced September’s reputation as one of Bitcoin’s weakest periods either. According to an ongoing&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/StocktwitsPolls/message/627200434">poll</a> on Stocktwits, retail traders believe Bitcoin may break the trend in 2025. Bitcoin Gains As ‘September Slump’ Remains Uncertain – Retail Traders Bet On Break From Trend In 2025 

September hasn’t given Bitcoin a strong lift, but neither has it lived up to the month’s reputation as one of Bitcoin’s weakest periods either. 

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other top cryptocurrency tokens remained under pressure in pre-market trade on Friday as investors awaited the release of personal consumption expenditure (PCE) data later in the day for clues on inflation and the Fed’s September policy path.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/SOL.X">Ethereum’s price</a> was the worst-hit among the top cryptocurrency tokens, down more than 5.4% over the last 24 hours, trading at around $4,300–12% below its record of more than $4,900, seen last week. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the cryptocurrency fell to the ‘neutral’ zone from ‘bullish’ over the past day, and chatter also simmered down to ‘normal’ from ‘high’ levels.Meanwhile, shares of Ethereum-holding companies, Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) and FG Nexus (FGNX), were mixed during pre-market trade, despite the weakness in Ethereum’s price.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BMNR">BMNR’s stock</a> fell 1.25%, but&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BMNR">FGNX’s stock</a> rose more than 9%.&nbsp;Cardano (ADA), Ripple’s native token (XRP), and meme token Dogecoin (DOGE) also faced heavy losses.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/ADA.X">Cardano’s price</a> fell 5%,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/XRP.X">XRP’s price</a> was down 4%, and&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/XRP.X">Dogecoin’s price</a> dipped 3.8% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the apex cryptocurrency fell to ‘bearish’ from ‘neutral’ over the past day. Bitcoin was among the top trending tickers on the platform at the time of writing.&nbsp;Many market watchers are hoping for another bull run after the current week’s doldrums. Tiger Research&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2025/08/29/bitcoin-headed-to-usd190k-on-institutional-wave-research-firm-says">predicted</a> that Bitcoin’s price could reach $190,000 by the end of the third quarter (Q3), driven by global liquidity, ETF demand, and new access to 401(k) plans. The firm’s model showed that the cryptocurrency would at least reach $135,000. It then layered on multipliers for fundamentals and macro conditions to reach the final Bitcoin price forecast.Egrag Crypto, an&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/egragcrypto/status/1961283691197395325">analyst</a> on X, compared Bitcoin’s price performance across four major cycles against the S&amp;P 500. He stated that each successive cycle has delivered smaller gains, but the uptrends have lasted longer. The analyst suggested that Bitcoin’s price could hit another all-time high in December, before cooling off.On the equities side, Bitcoin-linked stocks were in the red during pre-market trading. Shares of Strategy (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/MSTR">MSTR</a>), the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, dipped 1.79%. Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/RIOT">RIOT</a>) stock fell 1.8%, while shares of its peer, Mara Holdings (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/MARA">MARA</a>), dropped 2.19%. Crypto exchange Coinbase Global (<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/COIN">COIN</a>) fell 1.4%.&nbsp;The selloff in the crypto market led to more than $410 million in liquidations over the past 24 hours, according to Coinglass&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.coinglass.com/LiquidationData">data</a>. Most of the liquidations came from long bets–traders who bet that the price of cryptocurrencies would rise, amounting to around $351 million.
