EV maker Polestar (PSNY) was in the spotlight on Thursday after the company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://investors.polestar.com/news-releases/news-release-details/polestar-q1-retail-sales-grew-76-compared-same-quarter-last-year">said</a> its retail sales volume in the first quarter rose 76% compared to the corresponding quarter last year.The Swedish company reported retail sales of an estimated 12,304 units, driven by a growing uptake of newer models and a transition to an active-selling model.Polestar’s new CEO Michael Lohscheller said the company is on “the right track and doing the right things.” Lohscheller joined Polestar as its chief executive in October, succeeding Thomas Ingenlath.“With a more active selling model, more retail partners and attractive cars, we are delivering results. At the same time, we are monitoring closely and assessing the volatile geopolitical environment and will adapt as needed,” Lohscheller said.The company currently manufactures cars in the U.S. and China. Polestar Q1 Sales Jump 76% On Newer Models: Retail Sentiment Brightens

The Swedish company reported retail sales amounting to an estimated 12,304 units, driven by a growing uptake of newer models and transition to an active selling model.

ZIM Integrated Shipping (ZIM) stock rose 2.3% on Monday after it signed long-term charter agreements for ten liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual fuel container vessels for $2.3 billion.The container vessels, each with a capacity of 11,500 twenty-foot equivalent containers, will be built at Zhoushan Changhong Shipyard in China. Delivery is expected between 2027 and 2028.The company said seven of the vessels would be chartered to ZIM by Containers Ventures Holdings Inc., an affiliate of the TMS Group, and three by a shipping firm affiliated with Kenon Holdings, Ltd., which was ZIM's largest shareholder until the end of 2024.“Operating LNG capacity has proved commercially advantageous for ZIM, and we anticipate increased demand for environmentally friendly shipping options, making access to LNG capacity even more beneficial in the future," CEO Eli Glickman said.Companies worldwide are attempting to curtail emissions to comply with their net-zero goals. Shares of ZIM Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) rallied over 4% in Wednesday’s pre-market session after the company’s fourth-quarter <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.prnewswire.com/il/news-releases/zim-reports-financial-results-for-the-fourth-quarter-and-the-full-year-of-2024-302399663.html#:~:text=Total%20revenues%20were%20%248.43%20billion,the%20full%20year%20of%202023.">earnings</a> and revenue topped Wall Street estimates.Revenue for the fourth quarter (Q4) rose 80% year over year (YoY) to $2.17 billion, surpassing a Street estimate of $1.99 billion, according to FinChat data.
