iShares Semiconductor ETF

A sharp semiconductor selloff is being linked to Intels weak outlook and broader doubts about whether massive AI spending will generate adequate returns, alongside concerns about financing and forced selling. Traders are split between calling the decline an overdone, AI-demand-insensitive pullback and warning that the AI trade is unwinding further.

Discussion centers on Corvuss recent soquelitinib atopic dermatitis data and investor presentation: bullish traders call the early results encouraging, while skeptics question the small cohort, safety evidence, and lack of longer follow-up. Many also blame the sharp negative reaction on management setting expectations too high without announcing a partnership or other concrete development.
