(ORCL) has trimmed its workforce at three of its locations in California, according to the “Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification” filings with the state on Tuesday.The filings done to comply with the WARN Act of 1988 showed that the cuts were at Oracle’s offices in Redwood City (187), Pleasanton (36) and Santa Clara (31). (ORCL) is reportedly offering steep discounts on its software to federal customers, joining a list of tech companies that have taken similar steps.The Wall Street Journal said, citing the General Services Administration (GSA), that the database giant was offering 75% discounts on its license-based database and analytics software through the end of November. Adobe (ADBE) and Elastic (ESTC) have also offered discounted pricing for their respective software.&nbsp;Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner Josh Gruenbaum reportedly told the Journal in an interview: “Through procurement consolidation, we’re aiming to bring the leverage of the whole, commanding purchasing power of the federal wallet to these [technology providers] to get the best discounts for the taxpayers.”Oracle has aligned with the Trump administration’s initiatives to maintain America’s leadership in AI. Ellison was found along with President Trump when he announced the Stargate private AI initiative, spearheaded by Sam Altman-led OpenAI and Japan’s Softbank, immediately after he took office in January.&nbsp;The report comes on the heels of a strong rally in Oracle stock, which rallied over 5% on Wednesday after Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter, an expanded Stargate alliance. Oracle Reportedly Offers US Government Steep Discounts: Retail Traders Raise Eyebrows As Stock Scales New Peaks

The GSA reportedly stated that the deal with Oracle is the first of its kind, offering a discounted package on cloud infrastructure for the entire government.

Oracle Corp. (ORCL) shares rallied sharply in Wednesday’s extended session after the database giant announced forecast-beating earnings and raised its fiscal year 2026 revenue.In a statement, CEO Safra Catz said the fiscal year 2025 was a “good year” and flagged that the current year would be even better as “revenue growth will be dramatically higher.”The database giant now estimates its total cloud growth, including applications and infrastructure, to be over 40% in the current year, up from 24% in FY25. Cloud infrastructure growth is expected to accelerate to 70% from 50%.Remaining performance obligations (RPO), a key operational metric, are expected to increase by more than 100% this year.Larry Ellison, Oracle’s chief technology officer, said MultiCloud database revenue from Amazon, Google, and Microsoft’s Azure more than doubled from the third quarter. “We currently have 23 MultiCloud datacenters live with 47 more being built over the next 12 months,” he added.For the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, Oracle reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.70 and revenue of $15.90 billion, exceeding the Finchat-compiled consensus estimates of $1.64 and $15.59 billion, respectively.Oracle’s board approved a cash dividend of $0.50 per share, payable on July 24, to shareholders of record as of July 10.On the earnings call, Katz said total revenue for FY26 would be at least $67 billion, up more than $1 billion from the previous outlook and marking 16% constant currency growth, according to a transcript by Koyfin. This revenue guidance compares favorably to the $65.36 billion consensus estimate.The company expects first-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.44-$1.48 and revenue growth of 12%-14%. Analysts, on average, estimate $1.48 in EPS and 12.5% revenue growth.&nbsp;Forex translation is expected to have a $0.02 per share positive impact on earnings and a flat to 1% positive impact on the topline.Answering an analyst’s question on the call, Catz said the Trump administration-backed private Stargate artificial intelligence (AI) partnership is still in the works. Database giant Oracle Corp. (ORCL) is scheduled to report quarterly results after the market closes on Wednesday.The Finchat-compiled consensus estimates call for adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.64 and revenue of $15.59 billion for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025.This compares to the year-ago EPS and revenue of $1.63 and $14.29 billion, respectively. In March, the company predicted 8-9% revenue growth and a bottom line of $1.61-$1.65.Barely days before the fourth-quarter print, Morgan Stanley analyst Keith Weiss hiked the price target for Oracle stock to $175 from $160 and maintained an ‘Equal-Weight’ rating.&nbsp;The analyst expects infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) to be in the spotlight again but forecasts a slight disappointment relative to the consensus expectation of $3.1 billion.&nbsp;“With admittedly low visibility into the data center capacity which drives IaaS growth given the supply-constrained nature, the focus is on announcements of data center go-lives,” Weiss said.Morgan Stanley expects a slight revenue miss but sees the stock gaining from further bookings upside.
