Grindr (GRND) is reportedly in talks to go private after a steep decline in its share price placed one of its top shareholders under financial strain, according to people familiar with the matter cited by Semafor.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/GRND">Grindr’s stock</a> gained as much as&nbsp;11% in midday trade. However, retail sentiment on Stocktwits continued to trend in ‘neutral’ territory amid ‘high’ levels of chatter.The&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.semafor.com/article/10/13/2025/grindr-explores-take-private-after-lender-calls-insiders-loans">report</a> said Raymond Zage and James Lu, who together control a majority of the dating app, are seeking debt financing from Fortress Investment Group to take Grindr private. A Kodak ‘Moment’? Company’s Pharma Expansion Plans Ignite 366% Surge In Retail Chatter

Data center builder and operator HIVE Digital Technologies (HIVE) has reached a major breakthrough in its global Bitcoin mining operations, with a substantial performance increase in May 2025.&nbsp;The company reported that it now operates with a mining capacity surpassing 10 Exahash per second (EH/s), an increase from 6 EH/s at the end of the prior quarter.This growth, which includes a 58% surge in peak hashrate from April to May, was primarily driven by the activation of HIVE’s new 100-megawatt hydro-powered facility in Paraguay.&nbsp;The company said that the plant played a critical role in its push for energy-efficient and sustainable Bitcoin mining.HIVE utilizes 100% hydroelectric power in its data centers, which supports both crypto mining and artificial intelligence workloads.&nbsp;The firm is aiming to reach a hashrate of 11.5 EH/s by the end of June, keeping it on pace for its ambitious 25 EH/s target by the fourth quarter of 2025.In May, the company mined 139 Bitcoin, averaging about 4.5 BTC per day. HIVE Digital Ramps Up Bitcoin Mining With 58% Hashrate Jump In May: Retail Finds No Reason To Cheer

Bit Digital Inc. (BTBT) revealed it has purchased a 96-acre industrial site spanning roughly one million square feet in Madison, North Carolina.&nbsp;The company plans to convert the property into an AI-focused data center campus, marking a milestone in its ongoing expansion into high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.The $45 million acquisition was funded through Bit Digital's existing cash reserves, which totaled $61.3 million as of the end of March, supported by its at-the-market equity program.&nbsp;The company plans to initiate commercial mortgage financing to fund the site’s buildout further.WhiteFiber Inc., the recently renamed high-performance computing arm of Bit Digital, will lead the development of the new site.&nbsp;The company has finalized a power supply arrangement with Duke Energy, securing 99 megawatts (MW) of capacity, with 24 MW expected to come online by&nbsp;Sept. 1, 2025.&nbsp;The initial stage of the data center buildout is scheduled to be completed and active by the end of this year.&nbsp;Furthermore, Duke Energy’s early feasibility analysis suggests the facility could scale to 200 MW, pending additional service agreements and fulfillment of certain requirements.Situated in North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad, the Madison campus benefits from a prime location within 100 miles of major urban centers, which makes it well-suited for supporting AI inference operations.&nbsp;The presence of established hyperscale operators in the region adds to the site’s attractiveness for prospective data center tenants."The location, size, and power profile make it a rare asset, which we believe will be foundational to meet accelerating demand from AI customers and pursue long-term value creation for shareholders,” said CEO Sam Tabar.WhiteFiber is in discussions with several potential HPC tenants and has secured a non-binding agreement with one. Bit Digital To Build New AI Data Center in North Carolina: Retail Believes Stock Is Undervalued

The $45 million purchase was financed using the company’s available cash, which stood at $61.3 million as of the end of March, bolstered by proceeds from its at-the-market equity offering.

Nasdaq-listed shares of Autolus Therapeutics PLC (AUTL) were in the spotlight on Friday after the company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://autolus.gcs-web.com/news-releases/news-release-details/autolus-therapeutics-announces-positive-chmp-opinion">announced</a> that the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has recommended that the European Commission (EC) approve its Obe-cel therapy for the treatment of a particular type of blood cancer.Obe-cel is short for Obecabtagene Autoleucel. Autolus Therapeutics Gets Favorable Recommendation For Approval Of Cancer Therapy In EU: Retail Sentiment Brightens

CHMP has recommended that the European Commission approve the therapy for treating adult patients over the age of 26 with relapsed or refractory B-cell precursor acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. 

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. (LSPD) shares declined 7% on Thursday after its fourth-quarter (Q4) earnings fell short of Wall Street estimates.&nbsp;Lightspeed’s total Q4 revenue rose 10% year-over-year (YoY) to $253.4 million, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $251.30 million, per Finchat data.&nbsp;Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.10 marginally missed the consensus estimate of $0.11.Transaction-based revenue reached $157.8 million, up 14%, while subscription revenue grew 8% to $87.9 million.&nbsp;Despite these gains, the company reported a net loss of $575.9 million, primarily due to a $556.4 million goodwill impairment charge.&nbsp;Gross profit climbed 12% to $111.8 million, and the gross margin expanded 70 basis points to 44%.The operating loss for the quarter widened to $580 million.
