Cotton futures prices have lagged behind soft commodities over the past months and years. After trading to the highest price since 2011 in May 2022, prices fell to the lowest level since 2020 in April 2025.

Arabica coffee futures reached a record of nearly $4.30 per pound high in February 2025. After correcting to below $3.30 in April, the price was back above the $4 level in early May. The coffee futures remain in a bullish trend that threatens to reach even higher highs.

Coffee prices on the Intercontinental Exchange have only eclipsed the $3 per pound level four times since the 1970s. The most recent rise above $3 took coffee to a new record peak in December 2024, and prices remained above $3 in early 2025.
