Nifty Slips Below 24,800 At Open; Tata Motors, Netweb, V-Mart Shine In Early Trade

Markets started on a weak note as FIIs stayed cautious ahead of earnings season. 

Paras Defence has seen a breakout rally, gaining 12% in the past five sessions after receiving fresh defence orders worth ₹26.6 crore from the Defence Ministry. With this addition, its total orders for thermal imaging systems have now reached ₹141.63 crore.&nbsp;Defense stocks have been in an uptrend, supported by confidence among investors, after the recent spate of orders across the sector, which shows the government is steadily giving more work to homegrown defence companies.&nbsp;Technical OutlookSEBI-registered analyst&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/Ca_mayankchandel">Mayank Singh Chandel</a> noted that from July to August, the stock was weak. But later, the selling slowed down and the stock began moving sideways. This sideways action suggested that buyers were quietly stepping in. The stock also found support near the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), which worked like a safety net, according to Chandel.On Monday,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/PARAS.NSE">Paras Defence</a> finally broke out of this range and crossed a key resistance with heavy volumes, marking a strong shift in momentum.&nbsp;Chandel concluded that with fresh orders in hand and a breakout on the charts, Paras Defence has turned positive in the short term. Paras Defence Surges On New Orders; SEBI Analyst Flags Momentum Shift Above 200-Day EMA

The analyst believes that the stock may see more gains if order momentum continues.

Indian defense stocks stayed firm on Monday, extending last week’s momentum from a spate of order wins and new contract announcements.&nbsp;At the time of writing, Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) was up 1.3%, Apollo Micro Systems climbed 4%, and MTAR Technologies eased 1.6%. The Nifty India Defense index gained nearly 1% in early trade, outpacing a flat broader market.Cochin Shipyard, Data Patterns (India) and DCX Systems were among the other top movers, rising between 2% and 4%. Bharat Electronics, Bharat Dynamics (BDL), Paras Defense, and Mishra Dhatu Nigam also traded higher.So far this month, HAL has rallied about 7%, Apollo Micro Systems surged 71.8%, and MTAR is up 8%.Order Wins And ContractsSector sentiment has been lifted by a string of order wins.
