(BOX) shares rallied sharply in Tuesday’s extended trading after the content management platform provider reported a quarterly beat and lifted its full-year guidance.The Redwood City, California-based company reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.30 for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026, down from $0.39 reported a year ago but exceeding the Finchat-compiled consensus estimate of $0.26.The company clarified that the quarter’s bottom line was dented by a negative impact of $0.12 per share from recognizing a non-cash deferred tax expense. Favorable forex impact, however, added $0.01 to the bottom line.Revenue rose 4% year-over-year (YoY) to $276.3 million, beating the $274.77-million consensus estimate.Box’s remaining performance obligations (RPO) jumped 21% to $1.469 billion, and billings climbed 27% to $242.3 million. The growth sharply accelerated from the 12% and 5% pace reported for the preceding quarter.Dylan Smith, cofounder and CFO, said, “We achieved robust first-quarter results, surpassing our guidance and delivering double-digit growth in both billings and short-term RPO.”CEO Aaron Levie&nbsp;touted the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) opportunity. “At Box, we help businesses unlock value from their unstructured data with our Intelligent Content Management platform,” he said.Levie noted that the company unveiled its most extensive set of AI innovations yet, including new agents that “integrate with the leading models and software platforms to accelerate decision-making, automate workflows, and boost productivity.”Box said its forward outlook reflected forex headwinds. Enterprise content management solutions provider Box, Inc. (BOX) stock fell moderately on Tuesday after the company hosted its “Financial Analyst Day.”In the presentation material posted on the website, the Redwood City, California-based company reaffirmed the fiscal year revenue guidance issued earlier this month in its fourth-quarter earnings release.Box said it continues to expect revenue of $1.155 billion to $1.160 billion and operating margin of about 28%. The company also issued its long-term targets for the fiscal year 2029-2031. (BOX) shares retreated in Wednesday’s premarket trading after the content management platform provider reported in-line quarterly results and issued subpar guidance for the current quarter and the fiscal year 2026.The Redwood City, California-based company reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.42 for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, flat with the year-ago number. The company said unfavorable forex impact dented the bottom line by $0.03.&nbsp;The metric aligned with the Finchat-compiled consensus and beat Box’s guidance by a penny.Quarterly revenue climbed 6% year over year (YoY) to $279.5 million versus the consensus of $279.20 million and the guidance of $279 million.Box co-founder and CEO Aaron Levie said the fiscal year 2025 was pivotal for the company. He said, “We delivered our strongest set of AI-powered innovations and launched Enterprise Advanced, integrating the full capabilities of our platform into one solution.”Levie said the company is developing an Intelligent Content Management platform that will transform unstructured data into actionable information, empowering businesses to take advantage of this critical opportunity.Among operational metrics, remaining performance obligations (RPOs) rose 12% YoY to $1.466 billion compared to the 13% growth in the third quarter.&nbsp;Billings improved 5% to $398.6 million, faster than the 4% growth last quarter. Box noted a 150-basis point (bps) forex headwind worse than the 80 bps it had previously factored in.The company expects first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.20 to $0.26 and revenue of $274 million to $275 million, missing the consensus estimates of $0.28 and $275.62 million, respectively.Box forecasts fiscal year 2026 adjusted EPS of $1.13-$1.17 and revenue of $1.155 billion to $1.160 billion. (BOX) slipped in Tuesday’s pre-market session ahead of the company’s fourth-quarter earnings scheduled to be released after&nbsp;the closing bell.The Finchat-compiled consensus estimates call for adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.42, flat with the year-ago results, and revenue of $279.20 million, up 6.2% from last year’s $262.88 million.&nbsp;The company’s guidance issued in early December put the headline numbers at $0.41 and $279 million, respectively.Box reported topline growth of 5% in the third quarter.Investors may focus on key operating metrics such as the remaining performance obligations (RPO) and billings. Third-quarter RPO climbed 13% year over year (YOY) to $1.3 billion, and billings rose 4% to $264.7 million.Box also clocked a record non-GAAP operating margin of 29.1% in the fourth quarter.While initiating coverage of Box in mid-December, DA Davidson said the company is in the early stage of a positive inflection to growth after recent platform expansions, TheFly reported.&nbsp;The firm said it expects to see an upgrade cycle from current customers to more premium tiers of the Box platform, which will likely lead to higher growth and margins. It believes investors haven’t fully appreciated the company’s significant product enhancements, which will likely set an upgrade cycle in motion.DA Davidson has a ‘Buy’ rating on the Box stock and a $45 price target.BofA, which also has a ‘Buy’ rating, has a more muted price target of $40 for the stock. Box Stock Slips Ahead Of Q4 Print Due After Tuesday’s Closing Bell: Retail Sentiment Soars

(XRX), which sells print and digital document products, and services globally, reported Tuesday ahead of the market open mixed quarterly results but retail remains optimistic.The Norwalk, Connecticut-based company reported fiscal 2024 fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.36, down from last year’s $0.43 and missing the consensus estimate of $0.53, as seen on Koyfin.Revenue fell 8.6% year-over-year (YoY) to $1.61 billion versus the $1.58 billion consensus estimate. Print and other revenue fell 8.7% to $1.54 billion and Xerox Financial Services (XFS) revenue declined 11% to $89 million.Xerox’s bottom line and topline trailed expectations in the past four quarters.Fourth-quarter adjusted operating margin climbed 100 basis points (bps) to 6.4%, and operating cash flow fell $182 million YoY to $467million.CEO Steve Bandrowczak said, “2024 was a critical year as we implemented a new operating model and structural process improvements to position Xerox for long-term, sustainable growth.’’Looking ahead, the company expects low-single-digit revenue growth in constant currency for fiscal year 2025 and free cash flow of $350 million to $400 million. Xerox Stock Slips Premarket After Mixed Q4 Results But Retail Mood Brightens 

Xerox CEO said, “2024 was a critical year as we implemented a new operating model and structural process improvements to position Xerox for long-term, sustainable growth.”

Redwood City, California-based Box, Inc. is scheduled to report its fiscal year 2025 third-quarter results after the market closes on Tuesday, and retail mood toward the stock was subdued.The content management platform company is widely expected to report non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $0.42, compared to $0.36 a year ago, and the guidance of $0.41-$0.42.&nbsp;The consensus revenue estimate is $275.44 million, while the company guided the topline to $274 million-$276 million.&nbsp;At the end of the second quarter, the remaining performance obligations, including deferred revenue and backlogs, climbed 12% year-over-year (YoY) to $1.272 billion. Second-quarter billings rose 10% to $256.4 million.&nbsp;Last week, JPMorgan analysts said they expect Box to deliver a “consistent” quarter on a constant currency basis, with signals of growth stabilizing or inflecting higher, the Fly&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://thefly.com/news.php?symbol=BOX">reported.</a> That said, the analysts cautioned about a stronger dollar impacting the guidance.The firm said the current consensus estimate for the fiscal year 2026 “likely presents a high bar for Box to clear.”&nbsp;The strong stock run creates a challenging near-term setup but the medium- and long-term thesis remains intact as Box is well positioned as the unifying content layer between collaboration tools as well as enterprise applications, it added.JPMorgan has an ‘Overweight’ rating for Box shares.&nbsp;For the full year, Box expects non-GAAP EPS of $1.64-$1.66 and revenue of $1.086 billion-$1.09 billion.&nbsp;In premarket trading, as of 7:49 a.m. ET, Box shares rose 0.14% to $35.16.
