Tesla’s Robotaxi Push Drives Stifel’s 25% Upside Call 

Analyst Stephen Gengaro highlighted significant progress in Tesla’s full self-driving (FSD) system.

Stifel cited strong third-quarter results and promising advances in autonomous driving as drivers for the price target boost.

Morgan Stanley on Thursday raised its price target on XPeng (XPEV) to $28 from $26 while keeping an ‘Overweight’ rating on the shares.The new price target implies a 37% upside to the stock’s closing price on Wednesday.Constant competition and year-to-date stock outperformance "may aggravate near-term volatility," Morgan Stanley noted. However, the firm stays constructive on XPeng's model pipeline and AI-related initiatives.Morgan Stanley views the G7, powered by the in-house developed AI Turing chip, which XPeng launched at a pre-sale price of RMB235,800 ($32,781), as "just the first step in pioneering a breakthrough," the analyst said.XPeng unveiled the G7, an all-electric mid-size SUV, on Wednesday. The company plans to start delivering the vehicle in the third quarter. XPeng Gets A Price Target Hike From Morgan Stanley, Retail Wonders What Happened To Short Sellers

The new price of $28 target implies a 37% upside to the stock’s closing price on Wednesday.

XPeng debuted the MONA M03 in August and started deliveries in September. The company has delivered 120,000 units of the vehicle as of May 2025.With the launch of the MONA M03 Max variant, the company has introduced a city-level advanced drive assistance system (ADAS) to the $20,000 price point, XPeng said, adding that the ADAS system, called AI Turing Smart Driving, is the only advanced ADAS available in this price segment globally.No added cost or subscriptions are required to access the company’s smart driving system, which can accurately detect over 50 road elements from traffic signs to complex obstacles, the company said.The vehicle also features a smart cockpit with features outperforming higher-priced vehicles, as well as the previously launched MONA M03 variant, the company said. XPeng Stock Gets Price Target Hikes From Macquarie, Bernstein, BofA After Upbeat Q1: Retail’s Cautiously Optimistic

As per Macquarie analyst Eugene Hsiao, XPeng continues to execute ahead of expectations in a difficult domestic EV market.

Shares of Chinese EV maker XPeng Inc. (XPEV) are trading nearly 7% higher in pre-market on Wednesday after its first-quarter earnings report beat Wall Street expectations. &nbsp;The company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.xiaopeng.com/news-releases/news-release-details/xpeng-reports-first-quarter-2025-unaudited-financial-results">reported</a> Q1 revenue of RMB15.81 billion ($2.19 billion), a 141.5% increase year-over-year (YoY), and above an analyst estimate of RMB15.69 billion, as per Finchat data.Adjusted and diluted loss per American depository share (ADS) was RMB0.45, compared with RMB1.49 for the first quarter of 2024, and below an estimated loss of RMB1.51 per share.The increase in revenue was spurred by the increase in vehicles delivered by the company in the three months through the end of March. XPeng Stock Rises Pre-Market On Upbeat Q1 Earnings, Strong Q2 Forecast: Retail Turns Bullish

NYSE-listed shares of Chinese EV maker XPeng Inc (XPEV) fell nearly 7% by Tuesday noon despite the company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.xiaopeng.com/news-releases/news-release-details/xpeng-reports-fourth-quarter-and-fiscal-year-2024-unaudited">reporting</a> better than expected earnings in the fourth quarter and issuing a strong guidance for the first quarter of 2025.For the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024, the company reported total revenue of RMB 16.11 billion ($2.21 billion), marking a growth of 23.4% year-on-year (YoY), compared to an analyst estimate of RMB16.15 billion, according to FinChat data. Loss per ordinary share came in at RMB 0.73 ($0.10), lower than an estimated loss of $0.20.The company expects its first quarter 2025 total revenue to be in the range of RMB 15 billion and RMB 15.7 billion, marking a YoY jump of up to 140%, on the back of strong delivery numbers.The company expects to deliver between 91,000 and 93,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in the three months through the end of March, significantly higher than the 21,821 vehicles it delivered in the corresponding quarter last year.XPeng CEO Xiaopeng He said the company is “well positioned” to significantly expand its market share in the EV industry in both China and abroad.The firm officially entered the U.K. market earlier this year, marking its latest expansion effort in Europe.
