Britain's Senior shares climb after robust Q1 trading

Investing.com -- Shares of British engineering firm Senior PLC (LON:SNR) rose about 2% on Thursday after the company reported robust trading for the first quarter ending in March, with revenue increasing by 3% on a constant currency basis.

As of March 31, 2018, we are one of the largest publicly-traded owners of senior housing properties, owning 133 properties across 37 states. Our portfolio is well diversified in terms of product type, operating model and geography. As of March 31, 2018, we have 102 independent living (â??ILâ??) properties, 30 assisted living / memory care (â??AL/MCâ??) properties and 1 continuing care retirement community (â??CCRCâ??) property. Our portfolio is categorized into two major segments: (1) Managed Properties, which are operated by property managers pursuant to property management agreements and (2) Triple Net Lease Properties, which we lease to tenants. Our managed portfolio includes 81 assisted living, memory care and independent living properties and our triple net lease portfolio includes 52 independent living properties and a continuing care retirement community. We are externally managed and advised by FIG LLC, an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group LLC, which is a leading global investment management firm with $43.6 billion of assets under management as of December 31, 2017.
