Developers can also create tailored object types that work across the entire network, which encourages innovation and deep composability. The SUI token is central to the ecosystem, serving as the primary asset for transaction fees and on-chain utility within decentralized exchanges and lending platforms. Users participate in a proof-of-stake mechanism by locking their tokens to support validators and secure the blockchain in exchange for rewards.
