(TNXP) jumped 4% in the pre-market session on Monday after its drug Tonmya received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval for the treatment of fibromyalgia in adults.Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder that is understood to result from amplified sensory and pain signaling within the central nervous system. Fibromyalgia afflicts an estimated 10 million adults in the U.S., mostly women, and symptoms include chronic widespread pain and fatigue, among others.The company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.tonixpharma.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1585/tonix-pharmaceuticals-announces-fda-approval-of">announced</a> the approval on Friday evening. Tonmya is a non-opioid, once-daily bedtime analgesic designed for rapid absorption into the bloodstream. This Pharma Stock Shot Up 4% Pre-Market After FDA Approval For Drug, Retail’s Super Bullish But Believes ‘This Is A Marathon, Not A Sprint’

Tonix Pharmaceuticals drew heavy retail chatter on Tuesday ahead of an expected U.S. Food and Drug Administration decision on its experimental fibromyalgia treatment TNX-102 SL, due&nbsp;Friday.If approved, the drug would be the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in more than 16 years. It’s taken as two 2.8 mg tablets placed under the tongue before bed.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/TNXP">Tonix Pharma’s stock</a> jumped 32.9% to $14.79 on Tuesday, its best session in nearly five months, before edging up another 0.23% in after-hours trading.The centrally acting, non-opioid analgesic is designed for rapid transmucosal absorption, avoiding first-pass metabolism and reducing levels of a long half-life metabolite.The treatment earned Fast Track status from the FDA last year. In the late-stage RESILIENT trial, which enrolled 457 patients across 33 U.S. sites, those on TNX-102 SL reported a bigger drop in daily pain scores over 14 weeks compared with placebo, marking a 1.8-point reduction versus 1.2.&nbsp;It met all six secondary endpoints, and it's effective for sleep, fatigue, and general functioning. Side effects were mild, temporary, and generally limited to a tingling in the mouth or a bitter aftertaste. There were no serious drug-related adverse events.Tonix expects to roll out the treatment in the fourth quarter if it receives the green light, and stated that patents should protect U.S. sales until 2034-2035. Tonix Pharma Scores Best Day Since March On Hopes For First New Fibromyalgia Drug Approval in 16 Years; Retail’s Optimistic

The late-stage candidate TNX-102 SL has received FDA Fast Track status and has delivered positive results in two pivotal Phase 3 trials, demonstrating meaningful pain reduction.

(TNXP) traded 22% lower in Thursday’s pre-market session after the company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001430306/000199937125007625/tnxp-8k.htm">announced</a> share sale plans on Wednesday.The company entered into a sales agreement with A.G.P./Alliance Global Partners, serving as the sales agent, under which it intends to sell $150 million of shares of its common stock.Tonix also entered into a purchase agreement with Lincoln Park Capital Fund, LLC, under which the company will have the right to sell up to $75 million of newly issued shares of common stock to the firm.&nbsp;The proceeds from the purchase agreement are expected to be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.The biotech company focused on developing therapies for pain management is currently looking forward to a potential approval of TNX-102 SL for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Tonix Pharma Stock Plunges 20% Pre-market On Share Sale Announcement, But Retail’s Not Pessimistic

(TNXP) traded 12% higher on Wednesday noon after the company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ir.tonixpharma.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1568/tonix-pharmaceuticals-announces-appointment-of-joseph-hand">appointed</a> Joseph Hand as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Operations, effective immediately.Before joining Tonix, Hand was Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources and Corporate Services and a member of the Executive Committee at Celgene Corporation.In his role at Celgene Corp, Hand played a strategic role in transactions, including Bristol Myers Squibb's $74 billion acquisition of Celgene and its subsequent integration.
